Aubrey

Ally learning my name probably wasn't the greatest thing..

4 am

"Bree!" She would scream from across the hall.

Sometimes I would ignore it but she would keep repeating it until I come. And Shawn wasn't a very happy morning person.

"Yes, Ally?" I replied tiredly.

She waved excitedly and pointed to the floor giggling.

"I really have to sleep because I have to go to school. It's almost summer, so I can play with you then."

I went back to my room.

"Bree! Bree!"

I walked back with my blanket and a pillow and slept on the floor.

The last time I took her to my room she started crying because she missed Shawn.

"What am I gonna do with you?"

Shawn

I woke up and felt something soft beneath my feet.

"Ow." I heard something mumble. I look down and realized it was Aubrey sleeping on the floor.

"Sorry." I whispered. "Wait why are you on the floor."

"Ask Ally." She said getting up.

I chuckled, "Im gonna stay home with Ally today, I'll see you after your class?"

"Yeah." She said stretching.

"By the way you could've slept with me." I offered.

"You would've pushed me on the floor anyways." She said. I chuckled I do tend to move around when I sleep.

"Anyways, I should get ready for school." She said.

I nodded and went down to make breakfast for Ally and I. Bree usually has breakfast on her way to university.

It was almost summer. Meaning Bree only had a week left of school. Thank God because being a single dad is hard. I have Bree, but she's usually gone and Ally's starting to walk. Which reminds me, she's turning two soon.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard screaming.

Ally's awake.

"Daddy's coming princess!"

I walked into the room and saw Ally trying to climb out of her crib.

"Honey, you know that's dangerous you might hurt yourself."

"Soy-ree da-da." She giggled.

"You learned a new word!" I said excitedly.

I put her down and called Aubrey.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Bree guess what?" I yelled.

"Dude your freaking loud."

"Sorry. But Ally said 'sorry daddy' isn't that amazing?!"

"That's great, Shawn!" She cheered. "Tell Ally I love her!"

"Hey what bout me?"

"Yeah you too."

"I know you do."

"Okay I'm almost at Stanford, ill see you later, bye!" She hung up.

"Alright Ally what should we do today?" I asked her.

She giggled pinching my nose.

"Can you say nose?"

"No." She shook her head.

"Ose"

"Nope." She said.

"Alright maybe another day." I chuckled.
