So you bought me out of the house do you mind telling me why I asked this guy I call my friend beside me. His the only true friend I have. I won't actually put it that way but his the only one who tolerates my attitude.

I won't call it an attitude. It's just I don't take shit, I get annoyed easily, I hardly smile unless I'm with my mum and I don't like people that don't know how to respect me. I'm quite intimidating not gonna lie.

Well my dear friend she's really pretty he said. Obviously I said cutting him off. Seriously he said and parked the car. Ohk I'm sorry. Where are we I asked. River plate he said and hopped out of the car. Ohh I said and hopped out

I met a lot of my friends and some I never thought I would meet in my life again. We talked while some decided to play ball. I would love to but I just ain't in the mood for that. Some guy came and sat beside and he was on a call. I heard him saying "please tell me your home" so I'm guessing wife.

He finished the call and you know we as guys he was just like ah Master he said and we shaked  hands. Ya I said with a smile. I'm Jamal he said. Areef. We started talking mostly about sports and I don't know I just had to ask was that your wife I asked. Who? He said.

Oh no no no no nooo he said and I bursted out laughing. Whoa you seem offended I said and he laughed. She's not my wife he said and I nodded Ohk. So I'm guessing girlfriend I said. Nop she's just a friend he said and don't get me wrong I got confused.

You sure she's just a friend. You have no idea how hard you were smiling while talking to her I said and he smiled. Nah nahh we just really close. I do love her but not that way and I have a girlfriend already he said and I made the ohhhh face

Well then you and your girlfriend must really have an understanding towards that I said and he laughed. Oh that's our argument every single day he said. Obviously. You won't be comfortable if she has a male best friend would you I asked. Well you make a good point but I can't.

I can't stop talking to her but I can reduce it he said and I chuckled. I know it's non of my business but you sound like you like this your friend way too much I said  and he laughed. We talked for a while and his really cool.

Alright Areef I need to go it's almost magrib he said and I looked at my watch. Alright safe I said and we did a shake and parted ways. I know what your thinking. Is that a new friend I just made? Oh HELL no. That was just a mutual conversation between two guys who would probably never see each other again I hope I thought.

Don't get me wrong his cool and all but I don't need more friends. Muhammad came and we finally hit the road. He dropped me off home because I didn't go out with my car and left. Instead of going home I went to the masjid to pray magrib before I head home

I got home after isha and I saw dad and mum in the sitting room. Ina wuni( good evening) I greeted. Lafiya lau( good) they both said and I started making my way to my room but babas voice stoped me. Sit! He said and I looked at mum. I sat down beside her and I saw the rest of my siblings coming one by one even Amal.

We where all in the sitting room. Baba switched off the TV. He cleared his throat and look at us all. Well Areef since you haven't been around let's catch you up he said and we all chuckled. Well Bello designed a Mall and now he has a contract dad said and I smiled widely. Masha Allah I said. Salim also got a promotion that's why his head is bigger dad said.

Really dad Salim said and we all laughed. Damn a lot has happened since I left I thought. ofcourse I assume you've already seen Amal he said. Yes dad I can see I said and she pouted. Manal is in university now 200lvl studying business admin he said and I high fived her

Masha Allah I said. Yes yes and now for the main reason we are all here. I'm retiring next month in sha Allah he said and we all look shocked except for mum. Why? Who will continue with the company Bello asked before I could.

That's why I called you all here. Areef! He called. Naam I answered your taking over for me  he said. Everyone was happy except for me believe me I was quite confused. Dad I can't. I told you I'm not staying I'm going back to base I said.

Your not going back he said. Dad I am! I said. I'm not asking you! I'm telling you that your NOT going back. Have I made my self clear he said. HAVE I MADE MY SELF CLEAR? He said again and I nodded. Good. You don't know how your mum feels every time you leave.

Only God knows the type of mission they make you go on. You once came home bleeding. Your mum couldn't sleep for days. Look at you this wasn't the Areef I know. You hardly smile around the house. What kind of life is this dad said and I couldn't say a word because he was right.

Your taking over the company he said. Toh baba I said looking down. I presume you have someone in mind he said. Oh shit please let it NOT be what I'm thinking ya Allah I thought. No baba I said. Good I've made a wife for you then. You will be getting married in the next two months he said and I looked up. Married I asked? Baba please don't do this I said

Are you questioning me he asked. No baba. But.  DONT! complete that sentence. I have Made my mind you may all leave he said and everyone left and I stayed put beside my mum.
Married? I thought. Nah this can't be.
