I'm on my way back home after not seeing my family for two and a half years just approximately three years. I joined the military shortly after I broke up with Asiya my ex girlfriend, that was four years Ago believe me I haven't dated since than and I'm not looking forward to anything like relationships.

I'm just here for a year and I would go back. I know my mum would obviously try to talk me out of it the way she dose all the time but she can't change my mind.

Joining the military wasn't my first choicebut I just found myself there. I needed my emotions shut off you could say that because I was quite a very sensitive person and emotional. I know it's ohk for guys to be like that but I felt week because girls took advantage of that. Oh and I wanted to learn how to shoot a gun* wink*

My family, I won't call us rich but we are quite comfortable Alhamdulilah. We do have money but we don't show it off so we aren't that much popular. Bello is a family man he has a son anwar and believe me I've spoilt that child with sweets. Obviously he loves me because of that.

Manal and I aren't really close. But obviously I'm her fave.

You know there's always that one sibling you aren't close to. Well manal, we could say she's afraid of me which I hate that. She said I don't smile at all, I'm always frowning.

The only person I can smile for is my mum. Damn I love that woman. I could kill for that woman. She takes advantage of the fact that I love her too much and she's using it to find me a wife. I'm so not on board with that plan.

I'm back to Abuja and the first person I called was Muhammad. Muhammad's getting married soon that's one of the reasons why I'm back actually. I told him to meet me home and I couldn't miss the excitement from his voice. I know he missed me*smirk*.

I finally arrived home and it all looks strange to me. Everything's changed, I can't remember whoes cars are whoes but I can't miss my beloved car Jaguar . I mean I love that car.

No one knows I'm coming back today so I took a cab back home. I paid him and I headed to the front door. I knocked on the door and it got opened by manal

Ya Areef she yelled and hugged me tight and I held her. Wow you've grown subhanallah I said with a chuckle and she pouted. Ohk I'm sorry Nal I said.

We walked into the house and there was everyone literally except for dad. Bello, his wife Hafsat ,Salim, Amal, and mum. Anwar ran to me and I Picked him up. Heyyyy I said and everyone looked at me. Areef,salim called and we did a bro hug. Finally I've seen you after years he said and I chuckled

I could see how happy mum is you could see how her eyes were sparkling and a smile made it's way to my face after so long.

Areef she called. Naam mama I said with a smile and dropped anwar in his feet. I walked to mama and she enfolded me in a hug. It was obvious she was trying so hard not to burst into tears.

Mama don't mana I said and she chuckled. Why didn't you tell us you were coming I would have prepared something for you.

Mum I'm not a kid you know and your making the rest of them jealous I said and she looked at them. Let them be she said and we all laughed

Well ya Areef I can't believe you have been in this house for over 20 minutes and you haven't noticed how huge Amal is manal said and I looked at Amal.

Wait I said trying to suppress my laughter. I know you got married like 6 months ago but already pregnant. Damn Amal I said and we all bursted out laughing

Mama she whined. Areef allow her mana it's a blessing she said and I raised my hands in surrender. Alright Alright. So how long are you I asked and went towards her and sat down by her side.

Five months she said. So just a month after your wedding you got pregnant I said and she pouted. Ohk I'm sorry I will stop. Allah ya raba lafiya I said and we all ecod Ameen.

Alright all I really need to take a bath and get out of these cloths I said and stood up. Sure I will send food to your room Ohk mama said and I nodded. Thank you I said  and headed to my old room

It was clean like I never left. I striped out of my cloths and hopped into the bathroom straight up. I took a long hot bath, I wrapped a towel around my waist and headed out. I found Muhammad munching on my food and you could only imagine my reaction.

You have got to be kidding me I said and he looked up at me with his mouth full of food. Oh hi welcome back he said and kept eating my food. Can you stop munching on my food I said and took the spoon away from him.

Urgh rude he said and gulped down a glass of water. Bro you finished the whole damn thing I said eating the rest off the food. Daman I didn't eat lunch he said chuckling and I glared at him

So what's up? You back for real or you going back he asked. I just came for your wedding please I'm obviously going back I said and he didn't say a word again.

What I asked. No nothing he said and relaxed on the chair. Talk Muhammad I said and he looked at me. Bro that whole intimidating thing doesn't work on me so stop it he said and I huffed

You're lucky to have me you know. With this your attitude I have no idea who can live with you he said and I chuckled. Yeah Ohk that's nice. I don't have an attitude I just get annoyed easily not angry ANNOYED.

Ohk if you say so. Come on get ready let's go out. I will tell you about my FIANCÉ on the way he said stressing the word fiancé. You don't have to stress the word I said and he chuckled
