"Truth." Andre said.
We started off playing Monopoly, until Andre started to lose and got upset. He messed up the whole board and said "Tornado."
After that, we thought of a game and can't call tornado on. And that was 'Truth or Dare'.
"Are you still a virgin?" Ashley asked. No laughter. She was serious. While Ashley was staring at Andre, Petey was laughing, a lot. "Answer me. Are you a virgin?" Ashley said again, giving him a full on stare.
"Yes." Andre said, very quietly, looking down at his laugh.
"See it's easy. Why were you so shy to tell me." Ashley asked. Her tone now changed as if she were his mother.
"Peter and I ma--"
"No!" Petey shouted, cutting Andre off.
"What?" Ashley asked curiously. I was also curious. But I'm glad Ashley asked.
"Don't tell her dude. Or I will kill you." Petey told Andre, giving him a death glare.
"Promised we would wait for the perfect girl." Andre quickly shouted, then ran out the door.
"You idiot!" Petey shouted and ran, following Andre. Seconds later, they both walked in the house. Petey first. He acted calm, like nothing even happened. Then Andre, with mud on his jeans and face. He walked in limping and sat back at his spot.
"You know," I started "I think that's very cute." I gave a smile.
"Me too." Ashley said beside me. I looked over at her. She was staring at Andre. "I think that's really sweet."
"It's dumb." Petey said. "We made that promise before the first day of high school."
"Peter made a bigger promise to himself." Andre quickly blurted out.
"What?" Ashley asked him.
"He's never had a girlfriend. He's been waiting for the perfect girl. I've always asked him how'd he know which one the perfect girl is." Andre blurted quickly again. I think he was scared of getting hit by Petey again.
"Peter, how would you describe the perfect girl?" Ashley asked him
"I don't have to tell you." Petey said, acting like he was a girl.
"Fine." Ashley said. She picked up the bottle and pointed it towards Petey. "Now tell me." She demanded. Ashley's like that. She wants what she wants when she wants it.
"I'll just know. She'll be different from those other girls. She won't care about who she's around. She won't care about her looks to much. She won't care about popularity. She won't flirt with everyone. She won't expect special treatment from me. She'd wear big geeky glasses if she wanted to. She'd do her homework on time if she desired. She'll be... perfect." Petey told Ashley.
"Okay, my turn." Andre said, then spinned the bottle. I once again prayed it didn't land on me. I just looked away from the bottle. That's how I got out of ever other spin before. "Bethany, truth or dare?" I slowly looked at the bottle. I did land on me. Yay me.
"Truth." I said with a sigh.
Andre had a large smirk on his face. Ashley, on the other hand, looked very annoyed. It was something weird between them. Andre loved messing with Ashley. Ashley hated Andre, by the looks of it. But if they were ever to become a couple, they'd make a cute one. Though I bet if I told Ashley that, she'd kick my in the shin.
"How'd the dance and kiss with Peter go?" Andre said to me, keeping the large smirk on his face.
"What?" I shouted that I bet.
"How'd you feel when you kissed Peter? Or you can tell me about one of the two slow dances? Your choice." Andre said, ever so calmly.
My cheeks must have been burning red. How could he ask a question like this? I wonder how Petey feels about Andre asking this question, considering he hasn't punched him yet. When I looked over to where Peter was sitting, he wasn't there. When did he leave?
"Guys, I'm tired. Let's leave!" Ashley shouted, then yawned, to prove her point, whatever it is.
Just as Ashley said that, Petey popped his head in threw the door. "Lets go." he said, then walked out again.
We packed up everything, and put it in a box, where Peter kept his other things. We left the forest and went to where Peter and Andre parked their cars. Andre was a couple of metres ahead of Ashley and I. When we got to the cars, Petey was sitting in his car, and Andre was sitting in his car, which was parked beside Petey.
I stood there with Ashley, not really sure what car to go in. I wanted to ride back with my best friend, but I didn't want someone being alone. It'd make me feel guilty.
Ashley nudged me. She was clearly confused as me. Best friends are like. They totally understand you, but at the same, they don't understand anything! Ashley will sometimes know when things are getting awkward, or when there's a problem, and she'll know what to do. But sometimes, when a problem occurs, she gives the worst advice.
"Come on ladies." One of the boys called. We were making them impatient. But we needed to have a girl talk, privately. It's not like we can just communicate through our minds. Or can we? Ahem, Ashley if you can actually hear me, IT WOULD BE EPIC! But if you want to sit in Andre's car, scratch your head. If you want to sit in Peter's car, move a piece of hair behind your ear. Or if you're like me, not sure, and not wanting to break someones heart, don't do anything. Now all I got to do is wait for her to make a move. I just stared at her. She didn't make much of a movement. Maybe the message got lost on the way.
I became to think that the whole sending voice messages from our head won't work. I'll just have to use my voice. "Ashley." I said, and she faced me. She nodded her head, while she scratched the top of her head. That meant she wanted to go with Andre. "How are we going to do this?" I asked her. Ashley sighed, and put a strand of hair behind her ear. Petey? I'm so confused.
"If I may pitch in," Andre said, from his car "just go home with the person you came with." I hate to admit it, but Andre was right.
Ashley took in a deep breath, then let out a big sigh. "Fine. But I'm staying at your house okay?" Ashley said to Andre? Wait. Did those words come out right? She told Andre she's staying at his house?
"Woah there tiger, we haven't had our first kiss yet. Lets not go to far." Andre said, acting as if he were scared. This annoyed Ashley, she gave him a glare and she sat in his car.
I walked over to Petey's car and sat down. It was silent. The only noise was coming from the radio. I thought of what Andre said. The dance, the kiss, the other dance. The kiss was one to many. It shouldn't have happened. Petey's not my type. Or should I say, I'm not his type. When he kissed me, he was probably drunk or high or something. That's probably why he came to the car late. And our dance today, he was drinking. Probably didn't know what he was doing.
"Beau, we're here." Petey said to me. We were parked in front of Andre's house. The car was turned off. We must have been here for quiet some while, then.
I got out of the car and walked to the front door. "Shit!" Petey whispered, but shouted it. "I guess we'll just have to wait here. I don't have my keys on me." Petey sat down on the steps and looked up at the stars. Instead of sitting on the bench that was against the wall beside the door, I sat beside Petey.
"See those two stars? The brightest ones?" Petey said, pointing the sky filled with stars. "The one on the right is Jackie, and the one on the left is Spencer." I smile formed on my lips. I linked my arm with Petey's and rested my head on his shoulder, as we both looked at the stars around Jackie and Spencer.
