Mr. Bad Boy

Part 28

I stood by Austin as he lay on the hospital bed donating his blood and helping me save Andre.

I kept constantly looking back to my phone hoping to hear something from Petey.

I wouldn't have done this.

I wouldn't have gone behind his back and done this.

But I had no choice. He didn't find himself a donor in time. And I did. I actually did. I found someone who was willing to help out. And there was no way I was going to turn him down because of some little feud Petey had.

When Austin was done he put his jacket back on and walked over to me.

"Thanks so much for doing this." I told him and went in for a hug.

I don't know what go into me but I was able to hug him without a second thought.

"Miss. Jagers, we're going to go and operate on our patient, we'll let you know how it goes."

Austin and I left the room and went to stand outside of Andre's operation room.

"Beth, I think we should talk." Austin said standing in front of me looking me in the eyes.

I took a deep breath in and nodded my head. "Talk? Talk about what?"

"The way we left things off."

I took another breath in and shook my head. "No, no. It's okay. We don't need to discuss that."

"No, we do." he said, "I need to explain it to you. Because I still love you. What I did, it was just a silly mistake. I don't even remember the girls name. I... I just remember, I was so jealous about how much time you spent with Peter. I felt like that I was missing that kind of loving from you, and I just... just chose anyone to fill it in the mean time."

I looked into his eyes.

I looked to see if he was lying. Or if he really meant it.

I looked into his brown eyes.

I moved his blonde hair out of his eyesight.

And I believed him.

"How do I not know you're lying to me? Lying just to... achieve whatever you're trying to achieve?"

He looked me in the eyes. Then his lips crashed onto mine. He lips were soft. His kiss was gentle. And it felt like being back in a relationship with him again.

"Does that make you feel like I'm lying?"

I looked at him.

I didn't know what to do.

I didn't know how to react.

"We... we can't pick up from where we left off." I told him. "My life has crazy changed from then. But we can try to... try to be friends."

A big smile stretched across his face and he gave me a great hug.

We talked a little, about the future. Set some boundaries. And then I found out that he'll be going to NYU with me. But eventually after getting death glares from Petey he decided that he should leave and he'll send in daisies and a get well soon card for Andre.

We waited hours for Andre to regain consciousness. All taking turns to sit in the room with him.

Though Petey didn't apologize to me for his behavior, he said beside me and let me rest my head on his arm.

Just as I was about to fall asleep Ashley stepped out of the room. "He's awake guys." she said and a smile appeared across her face.

We shot up and ran into the room.

"Duuudee" was the first thing Andre said as he Petey.

A giant grin appeared across Petey's face as he replied with "Duudee"

"Really?" Ashley started, "your best friend just gets out of six hour surgery, and the first thing you say to him is 'Duude'?"

Both of them break out into a large laughter.

"Don't you dare scare me like that again." Petey said to Andre, sitting by hid bedside.

"Oh," Andre said, "going to miss me too much?"

"Oh you know it. But I mean, I guess I'll survive." Petey responded to him.

"I think think you'll make it."

"Well why don't we pull out these wires," he guested to the wires on his right, "and we'll find out."

Ashley raised a brow. "Both of you stop. Or I will kill you both."

Andre and Ashley started to talk about something very quietly.

Petey came over to me. "Thank you so much." he said, "Thank you for going behind my back and saving him. I don't know what I would have done."

I shook my head. "Really Petey? It was nothing. I would do anything for Andre."

I went in and gave Petey and comforting hug.

"Dude!" Andre shouted from behind us. "Did you ask her yet?"

Instead of Petey responding he just glared and Andre realized he said something that he wasn't supposed to say.

"What's going on?" Ashley and I both asked in unison.

Petey eventually directs me out of the room, and takes me outside of the building.

The sky looked beautiful. There was a little orangey-yellow to it that just melted my heart.

"I wanted to talk to you about we were talking about on the roof the other night." Petey told me once he got my attention.

He looked into my eyes and held both my hands.

"We've both been through a lot and I learned so much about you this year. And I just ... I wanted to ask you something."

I was dazing into his beautiful chocolate brown eyes, and I nodded. I looked completely starstruck.

"Will you go to the prom with me?" he asked.

ok so i know like no one is reading rn but i think if i continue to do regular updates then maybe people will believe in me again.

i brought back austin... so that means im typing up lose ends, which means some ending is comming WHAAAT

um im changing one of the characters once i figure out how to do it

im writing a new book too, but idk how i feel about it and it could be published anytime between the next month or two to never $:
