Chapter 12: Testing of Time machine

It is a new day! And I am really excited to test our invention. Though I cannot assure that everything will go right. But I really hope that it works..

After a few hours, in the evening

Ting tong..

I go out and get to see Haruki standing with a medium-sized bag. I told him to come in and that Sakura is also waiting in our private lab. We go to our private lab. "Hi Sakura! Whatsup.. how are you?" he asks her by giving the bag to me. I keep the bag aside. "I'm doing great!" She replies. I was really bored by their boring conversation. "So..... shall we test?" I ask. "Yes of course!" Sakura and Haruki reply me.
We removed special oil from the bag and we poured the whole into its tank. After this, we pressed some buttons and finally we tried to start the time machine. It was not working. I felt down. We tried manier things but as expected every thing went into vain the hardwork of a year and all our sacrifices for this all was a total waste. I literally spent an hour crying. I was unable to cope up with whatever that happened as it was my childhood dream and I felt like loser. And my friends spent an hour consoling me and advising me to forget about it and move forward in life. But I really couldn't.
After an hour, I was a bit ok so Haruki left to his home but Sakura appeared very sad. "See even you are feeling sad? And even Haruki appeared to be sad.. Because of me... Haruki and your hardwork was of no use." I said with even more sadness. "I'm not sad for that.. I'm sad because you are sad. And do you know how sad Haruki was.. you think its because of your failure but he was actually sad because of your sadness.. towards the failure. Failures are a part of life. We should never feel down because of failures instead we should cope up with the failure and feel proud of at least trying it.. not only success but try also counts" She smiles with tears in her eyes. I understand her very well. "Please don't cry! I'm really sorry.. I didn't mean to make you or Haruki sad" I plead. She wipes her tears. "Its ok.. but even you stop being so depressed. Forget about it! Ok?" She says. "OK". Then she goes to her room and I come back to my room. My whole evening passed by thinking about the time machine.
"Nakamura come here!!!" My mom calls me. "Yeah mom what is it?" I ask her. "Go to neighbors house and give these sleeping pills to Mrs Kathryn as her sleeping pills are empty and I had sleeping pills so she had called me if I have as she has difficulties in sleeping" she orders. "OK mom" Then I went to Mrs Kathryn's house and rung the door bell but she wasn't replying the door bell at all. It was already 7 pm and there was not a sign of human inside the house. I kept it in my pocket and went back to home and directly went to my room.

After 5 hours,

Its late night but I was unable to get a good sleep. My head was really heavy after this bitter evening. So I got up and decided to drink some hot water. I was not in the state of sleeping and I was not feeling good. I went to the kitchen and with a glass of water in my hand I was returning to my room when my eyes fell upon the the door of our private lab. I thought of going in and I open the door slowly to make sure that no noise is produced. There is my useless time machine which is now not more than a junk. I went near to it and by mistakenly my hand slipped and the glass with hot water falls straight upon the time machine and by preventing the glass from falling on the ground so that no noise is produced I myself fall upon the time machine and my hand on all the possible buttons present on the screen.
Huge amount of light is produced and I literally felt engulfed by the light. And then the next second I'm somewhere in an advanced and highly developed place which was unknown to me. I took a couple of minutes to realize what had happened and then understood everything and was very happy about the working of my time machine and at the same time I was really confused about what to do next. I looked at the time machine if it is in a good condition. I sat on it and took some time to learn the buttons well then I pressed some of them and I was back! To my room!. I had my first test on my time machine to future. Now that I had learnt this, I thought of going to my past and meeting myself. I was able to locate myself at a particular time at a particular place. So I set my time machine to the past and I was engulfed by the same light and this time I opened my eyes right behind myself in the past. I was extremely nervous but even excited "Hi to myself" I tell to myself. He was looking here and there I wanted to throw something on him so that I could just make fun of him as I had come to past and I had thought not to go back without doing anything.
In my pocket I just had the sleeping pills so I decided to throw it. I threw it towards him but unfortunately he was about to turn back so I vanished from there for a few seconds but I think he swallowed it. And then when I came back there he was about go the down stairs and once I thought to tell something then I say "remember the year 1888" because I had now planned to go there so before leaving from there I wanted to give a hint to my past. I by mistakenly clicked a button which was only to change the place and not the time and therefore I landed up in the living room. He had almost seen me while I quickly pressed the right buttons this time and reached my room where a man appearing to be from future by looking at his dress code.
He advised me to use the time machine in a good way and not to try to interfere with past or future because even a single change could have a big effect on the future or past and would completely change it. He said that for now he has told him to f"orget the voice" and that this is "just a hallucination". "Really sorry, sir" I apologize. He vanished from there by using some other technology which appeared to be really advance. This was all about today I mean tonight. The testing went well and at the end I was really happy for my new successful invention!!
I also try to go to the past when I was working on my time machine but I mess up there and my past was almost about to open the door when I escape from there.
