Chapter 13: Where Am I?

It is 6 am and was explaining the whole story to Sakura which had happened at night. She was very happy to know about this and that the time machine is working. Then I called Haruki. This time he had no reactions when I told him about the last night. He was just saying yes or no or ok. It appeared that he is no longer interested in the topic and seemed really sad. I wanted to cheer him up but he got really angry.He was not even in the state of listening a word from me.

I felt really hurt but I could understand him. "OK then bye! Take care and if there is something bothering you.. then please don't hesitate to share it with me" I said politely. We end the call. I tell Sakura to come to the lab and I went on to show her but unfortunately this time it didn't work. There was nothing. Nothing happened. "Believe me Sakura! it worked yesterday!" I tell her. "Yes I believe you. But for now its not working again. We will have to see what has gone wrong with it" she says. We check it for half an hour but end up finding no problems in it. I felt really bad. "Don't worry Nakamura.. we can figure out the problem soon and solve it.. " she says. But I was so frustrated. She leaves from there.
I wanted to try once but as the machine was not much good enough I didn't want to take the risk. But at the same time I didn't want to give up my dream so easily. So I packed my bag with most of the things which I may not get in the past and. And I went near the time machine stood upon it and tried my level best to operate it but I failed. In my second attempt I just clicked the buttons randomly without thinking. Nothing seemed to happen so I was about to sit down there itself. And as soon as I was about to sit, I was engulfed by the same light but this time the light was very very much brighter than before and my eyes opened up in an unknown place and I had landed upon a hill. The hill was full of greenery. I didn't know much about the place and the place was really confusing so I thought it would be better to return back. I set up the time and the place and clicked on the button. Nothing happened. I clicked on the screen randomly. Still nothing happened.. Now I started to panic. What if I won't be able to go out from here? Will I ever go from here and return back to my time? I don't even know in which time I am.. and first of all where am I??
I started walking down the hill and then I get to see a place quite really old. It was a village.The surrounding appeared to be really different to me.

People were wearing kimono and there were more traditional vehicles. The wind which was blowing touched my heart. The buildings were completely different from the modern world. I was at different level today. I never in my dream thought that I'll be getting to experience this. But the people didn't seem so well to me. All of the people were looking depressed. But this was all that I wanted to that is to breathe in whichever year I am right now. But will I be able to get out of here?
