I've been home now for a few days from the Lanayru, and I'll admit it's been pretty boring.

Aunt Carla usually loves to hang out with me, but now she's busy with her new baby, Gwen. I knew she wasn't thrilled when mom told her I was coming home, but she's still doing her best to keep me company.

Having spent the last couple days around Gwen I've found myself questioning how Carla can even stand her! Babies are so whiny and annoying!

Either way, mom and dad are hopefully gonna be home soon. I'm starting to miss them.

Today was the archery competition for the golden arrow. I wound up winning. I hope I at least would have made dad proud, because I certainly didn't impress myself.

One of the competitors, Eagle, was close to beating me. But I managed to beat him. His father was really disappointed, and scolded him as he left. My dad never would have been fussy over a competition.

I felt bad, so I offered him the arrow. He denied and seemed... mad at me. As if I'd done it to hurt him.

Carla told me not to worry about it, but I can't help but feel like I owe him something. Maybe Orville can help me.

It was a normal day today, going for a quick flight around Lake Totori before heading to the flight range.

But then when I arrived, I was met with arrows flying out towards me, and I prepared to fight back. As I was pierced in the wing, I realized my idea wouldn't land well, and neither would I.

I found out it was the princess of Hyrule who shot me, and she quickly apologized and helped me to get my wing bandaged up.

I'm still recovering as I write this, but I will admit I'm glad I met her. _____ is much nicer than I expected the royals to be, and I hope to see her again.

Not too long ago, I finally confessed my feelings to _____, and it turns out she felt the same way. So, I'm honored to say I am courting the princess of Hyrule!

Her sister, Queen Amirah, chose Eagle to come to the champion meeting, but apparently he wanted me to go instead, since I was _____'s original first choice.

I went, and while the meeting went great, I also had the pleasure of meeting a childhood friend of _____'s, Nolan Finn. He asked her out and of course, was quickly turned down.

However, after the dinner the next day, Amirah and _____ got into an arguement about her needing to be arranged. Eagle warned me about this and I didn't listen.

I just want her to be mine, by her choice. Not arranged with that Nolan.

So last weekend, Eagle and I decided to go out on a monster hunt in the Tabantha, and guess who we saw leaving the stable?

We shot arrows down at Nolan, who didn't seem to like it very much, so we took that hint and continued. Wherever he was trying to go in such a hurry, we made sure he'd be very, very late.

Thing is, I found out last night that the thing I had prevented Nolan from getting to was his wedding. With _____. Fortunately, she's at the village and safe now, but I can't shake the feeling that she'd have been married that morning if I didn't mess with Nolan.

With that being said, I've been doing my best to comfort her about her sister's death and the cold side of Rhoam she's had to witness this past month. She's so strong.

~~~~
Today was my wedding with _____ and it's been the happiest day of our life together. We may have had our own form of an interruption, though...
The Yiga Clan came to find _____, and fortunately, everyone was prepared to fight back. Even Rhoam and Zelda showed up to help, and I could tell _____ was relieved they were okay and here.
Nolan came in at the end too, and while _____ wanted him to stay, I thought it wrong as he was trying to steal her from me in the first place. But I didn't want to disrespect her wishes on our day.
It's late after our party now, and seeing that she's fallen asleep in the hammock, I wish to join her.
~~~~

_____ and I had a competition to attend to yesterday but more importantly, _____ had a trial to attend that I was not made a part of.

Rhoam called her back early this morning for it, and it had something to do with her still being queen of Hyrule. I was shocked she didn't tell me, but then I found out Rhoam never told her.

I feel guilty for putting blame on her for the moments I did, but I must admit, it was confusing to me that she didn't tell me immediately when she returned. She went on as if nothing had happened.

Fortunately now, everything has been solved. I hope this is the last interference Rhoam will have in our lives...

Very early this morning, I got to meet my daughter, Amalia. She is the sweetest little rito, and I could not be more relieved that she and my wife are both alright and healthy.

I can already tell that my little Amalia will be a skilled archer just as a am one day, and I cannot wait to see it. But for now, I'm simply infatuated with how precious she is. I am still trying to wrap my head around that I'm a father, though.

_____ told me that she was surprised to see me so 'sappy'. I am not sappy, I am a strong, proud rito warrior. I do not get sappy. But, she claims otherwise, and maybe she's right.

I'm allowed to be sappy on the day I meet my first child. And perhaps if we ever have a second, it will be no different.
