"Astor," I started as I pulled the deep purple tarp that hung over the doorway back so I could enter the young boy's room. "How are your studies going?" He was sat at his desk, nose buried in one of his historia books. The past of Ganon, was the current point I had him working at.

"Good." Was all he answered, and I let my eyes wander around his room. This would likely be the last time I stood in it with him.

"I must speak with you." I stepped further across the floor, steps that previously echoed through the corridor now muffled by soft carpeting. He never looked back from his book, never acknowledged that I was requesting his attention. Despite this, I went on. "I am going to have to leave you, Astor."

"Leave me?" He raised his head and turned his head back slightly, just enough for me to see one of his amber eyes. "What do you mean, Onyx?"

"The Black Eclipse is going to happen in just a week. And, the night to follow, the new princess is going to be born." I explained, and he narrowed his eyes, urging for me to continue. "If I manage to accomplish my goal - to kill the queen before she welcomes her daughter into this world - then the kingdom is going to want my life. I will have to hand it over for your protection."

"But I thought you said you had to be the one to resurrect Ganon again." Astor pointed to the banner hung over his bed with the age old illustration of Calamity Ganon. "If you're going to die, then-"

"Then it will become your job." His eyes blew wide with shock as he looked back at me, and I noticed the way his nails dug lightly into the side of his chair. "You've been doing well with your studies these past few months. I've entrusted Hirami to be able to help you once I'm gone."

"But what if I fail?" Astor asked, the shock he had displayed before shifting to subtle worry. "What if... what if I'm found before then? What if something happens?"

"Once I kill the queen, it will be impossible for you to fail." I assured him, but pulled out a little scroll from the pocket of my cloak. "Though, if I fail my goal," I handed the paper to him. "Then I need you to be prepared."

"What, you're going to ask me to kill people too?" He snickered, taking the scroll into his hand so he could open it and read what I had written.

"Yes." I spoke bluntly, just enough so he'd understand I was serious. And the look of fear that came upon his face when he read the page let me know that he knew I was.

"O-Onyx, you... you want me to kill a child?" He asked, and I started laughing at his inquiry. But it didn't seem to help the situation much.

"Of course not," I answered. "But if the scenario where I fail becomes a reality, you will need to make sure the next queen is dead before she has any heirs."

"B-But-"

"Have I made myself clear?"

"...Yes, Onyx." He huffed, setting the letter down on his desk. I could see the tears that formed in his eyes as he looked away from me, and the way his form shook.

"What ever is the matter, Astor? You do want the royal family eliminated, don't you? Or have you suddenly begun to hold sympathy for them?"

"Of course I want them gone. They killed mother." He huffed quietly, wiping the tears from his eyes. "But I-"

"There should be no problems then, boy. The task I am giving you is rather simple."

"Onyx, please, listen-"
