- Friday Night -

"Munson residence, sorry we didn't get the phone" Eddie's voicemail rang against my ear for the third time tonight.

By the second time I called I didn't leave a voicemail. I began to feel like I had lost a friend. I let the voicemail play through just so I could hear his voice, even it was just for a few seconds. By the time the automative message was done I slammed the phone down in defeat.

"Hello?"
"Hey why didn't you show up to the basketball game?"
"I'm busy sorry..."

Tears pooled around my eyes while I laid in bed. Patrick had been calling me since the basketball game but I had no desire to talk to him.

"Hey kiddo-No date tonight?" My dad asked walking in to my room.
"No, he's busy." I sighed.

"Too busy for you?" He asked.
"He's busy dad." I began to become annoyed. I looked at my dad after I snapped, his expression dropped and I felt awful for my attitude.

"Well." He mumbled swaying to the side. "Let me know if you need anything."

-
"Why are you wearing red lipsticks?" I asked Chrissy when she stepped in to my room.
"Hmm trying something different remember?" Her head titled slightly, a sinful smile spread across her lips... causing an unwell feeling to brew in my stomach.

"What about that freak of yours?" She asked.
"He's busy. Leave me alone." I sighed crawling under my blanket.

"Busy." She laughed, I looked over my shoulder. She proceeded to laugh so hard she held her stomach.
"Get out." I muttered.

*Eddie's POV*
-
"Are you sure you want this?" I asked handing Chrissy a bag.

"Yeah- or maybe I wanted an excuse to see you." She smiled back at me.
Ok. Weird. I thought to myself.

"Your sister-"
"Yeah?" She asked.
"I'm dating her." Fake dating, and I am mad at her...but I did miss her. I thought to myself.

"I saw that fight you guys had the other day, what does she think you're doing right now?" She asked.
"Playing DnD" I whispered.

"Is that why you wanted to do this?" I asked. "Because we got into a fight?"

"No." She smiled. "I wanted something from you."
"Ok well here." I sighed throwing the bag on to her lap.

She pouted her red lips out to me. I looked at them for a moment but then looked away.
"Come on Eddie..." she whispered.

"What."
"You know I'm the better sister..."
"The hotter sister..."
"No." I laughed.

She took offense to my laugh, but it was true. Her personality and the way she treated Alex made me look at her differently.
"I thought you like red lipstick." She mumbled.

"Yeah on her, not you." I couldn't contain my laugh.
"Come on pay up."

"The thing is..." She began. I rolled my eyes because I knew what was going to come next.
"So nothing for you today." I said snatching the bag back from her.

"Eddie!" She cried sitting on my lap. I placed my hands on her hips trying to slide her off of me.

Her lips latched on to me neck, kissing me I had enough.
"Chrissy stop." I snapped. "You're fucking weird."

"Me? Weird?" She asked.
"Yes!" I laughed. "You're weird if you think I'm gonna give you drugs for free, because you tried to kiss me while you're dating Jason and because I'm dating your sister!" I shouted.

"Wait till she finds out.." she laughed.
"Finds out what?" I laughed. "I didn't do anything."

"You better hope your neck isn't stained."
-
*End of Eddie's POV*
-
"Hello?" I answered the phone.

"Hi..." Eddie mumbled, a sigh a relief fell from my chest at the sound of his voice.
"Hi."

"Be ready in ten minutes, I'm picking you up."
"Okay." I blushed.

"Wait-what were you doing?" I asked.
"I-I was busy." He said quickly.
"I know that...but with what?"
"It's nothing."
-
I ran towards Eddie's car, I saw him sitting there anxiously. I opened the door with a smile and got in.
"Hi."
"Hi"

"What do you wanna do?" I asked.
"I wanna talk."

I thought a saw a glimpse of something smeared on his neck, but I let the thought go. I knew we needed to talk.
"I'm sorry-"
"No I'm sorry. I was a jerk." He interrupted me. "I didn't mean what I said, you're nothing like your sister." His brown eyes met mine.

"I'm sorry too. I didn't mean for you to think I was playing with your feelings or anything. I don't know why I even gave Patrick a second thought, I guess I felt bad because he was only going to go the basketball game because I would be there." I sighed slumping back in to the seat.

"It's up to you." He mumbled.
"No, I don't want him." I flashed my eyes towards him, hoping he would get the hint.

My body sat up, I began to examine his neck a little more. I wasn't sure if it was the lighting or if I was just seeing things.
"Wait-" I mumbled, I pushed on the light above the seats.

My heart sank at the sight of red lipstick smeared on his neck. When the realization hit, I felt my chest sink with pain.

Chrissy's red lipstick...that fucking bitch.
"What's that..." I mumbled.
"Huh?"

"On your neck." I held his chin, turning his head to the side I finally caught a glimpse at it.
"It's nothing-" he mumbled covering his neck.

"You were with Chrissy huh..."
"No." He lied, looking away from me his hand grazed against his neck.
"Yes you were." I mumbled.

"Why does it even matter?" He became annoyed at my questions.

"Because she's my sister" I shouted.
"News flash Alex. We're fake dating." He shouted back at me. His arms flared in the air, as if it was the obvious. It was, but he didn't know how I truly felt. I slumped down back into the seat. He was right, but it still hurt.

"Okay but she's dating Jason-"
"You think I don't know that?" He snapped. "I'm not fucking stupid."

"Ok." I mumbled under my breath.
"What do you mean ok?"
"Okay-" I shouted.

"You're seriously going to get mad at me, I didn't even do anything!" He shouted.
"So why don't you lead with that, I know we're fake dating. I know it trust me." I held tears in the back of my eyes, trying not to let him know it's getting to me.

"Don't know why you're so upset then." He scoffed.
"Because I like you-" I cried.

His brown eyes shot towards me, I threw my hand towards my mouth, I didn't realize how quickly those words came out. But it did feel good to finally admit it. I came to the realization when I started to miss him.

"Yeah." I mumbled. "I started to get feelings for you Eddie. But I realize now I'm just an idiot for doing so."

"Alex..." He mumbled.
"No, I'm just gonna go." I tried opening the car door, Eddie had flicked the tab and locked the door.
"Let me out." I shouted.

"No, we need to talk."
"I don't want to talk about anything I already embarrassed myself enough." I cried yanking at the door handle. I was finally able to get out, rain had been pouring down on us for a couple of minutes.

"Alex!" He shouted. "God damnit." I heard the car door slam.

Eddie grabbed me by my wrist, pulling me back towards him I fell in to his chest.
"What" I cried.

His hand rested on my cheek. I looked in to his eyes and felt my body melt in his grip.
"This was easier when we were fake dating." I mumbled.

"So let's continue it." He whispered leaning in, he pressed his soft lips against mine. My hand gripped around his back, the rain had completely soaked us both. "It'll be our little secret...babes."

We stood there for a moment after the kiss. Standing in the air he brought his arms out and soaked everything in, causing me to release a small giggle.
