Rolling on my side I looked at the phone sitting on my nightstand.
I'm not going to call him.
I'm not going to call him.
I'm not going to answer if he calls me.

The repeated words flew out of my head the moment I heard the phone ring.
"Hello?"

"Hey can we talk?" Humiliated I hung up the phone. Biting down on my lips my hand hovered over it. It began to ring again and I picked it up.

"What."
"Let me just apologize please." Eddie said quickly.
"Fine."

"I'm sorry Alex. For some reason thought it would be a funny joke. After you said you never had a first kiss or anything like that I felt bad. So I'm really sorry."

"Anything else?" I snapped.

"Yes. Do you want to hang out again?" He asked hopefully.
"No. Sorry Eddie."
"I get it." He mumbled.

"Wait-Why do you keep wanting to hang out with me." I asked.

"You're a lost sheep." He laughed.
"So what I'm a charity case for you or something?" I felt hurt.

"Well yeah no one's paying me to do this. Call it community service." He laughed.
"You think you're so funny."

"Yeah, but it's the truth. I can tell you don't want to be in your sisters shadow anymore, you want to be your own person. You need to be your own person." His words were mellow against my ear.

It was the truth, the cold hard truth, looking over at my decorations on my wall. It was all filled with stuff Chrissy accomplished...I was just apart of it. I felt as if I didn't have my own identity.

"I'm sorry Eddie I'm just worried." I sighed.
"I get it, sleep on it. I'll see you tomorrow at school."

"Ok."
"Bye babes."
"I'm not your babes." I snapped.

"Not yet." With that, he hung up the phone leaving me to ponder the idea of what could happen.

The next day at school.

Sitting in class I slumped my face into the palm of my hand. I was in the middle of English class before one of Eddie's friends walked in to the room.
"Yes?" My teacher asked.

They exchanged a whisper, looking at me everyone in class turned their heads.
"Well she needs a note for that." Mr. Smith scoffed crossing his arms. Eddie's friend handed him a folded piece of paper.

"Fine. Alex Cunningham you're needed down at the principals office." He said walking over to my desk, he slammed the note down on the table and then proceeded to return to the lecture.
"Fuck." I mumbled under my breath, gathering up my things I threw my bag over my shoulder.

"Why do I have to go to the office?" I asked, no response. I followed the way he walked but become confused because we weren't walking towards the office, if anything we had already passed it.

"Hi." Eddie smiled.
"What."

"I want them to apologize to you." He said looking at his friends. They looked down at the ground for a moment, just before Eddie grabbed them by the neck, throwing them in front of me they finally looked at me.
