Erskine explained to Agent Carter and Colonel Phillips that it was necessary that I joined the men and that I needed no training. They eventually agreed after much persuasion from me and Erskine.

"Just stay with me at all times. Sexism is very much still a problem." I nod at her request.

"Recruits, attention!" She shouts, my eyes widen at the authority in her voice. Impressive. "Gentlemen, I am Agent Carter. I supervise all operations for this division."

"What's with the accent, Queen Victoria?" A cocky recruit speaks up. "I thought I was signing up for the US army."

"What's your name, soldier?" Agent Carter asks.

"Gilmore Hodge, Your Majesty." He answers.

She nods, "Step forward, Hodge." He slowly steps forward. "Put your right foot forward."

"We gonna wrestle? Cause I got a few moves I know you'll like." He winks at the both of us. My face scrunches up in disgust.

Before I could even get a reply in, Agent Carter punches him in the face making him fall to the floor. I cough to hide my laughter.

"Agent Carter." A voice echoes through the air. "I can see that you are breaking in the candidates. That's good! get your ass up out of that dirt and stand in that line at attention till someone comes and tells you what to do."

Hodge stands up but launches for Carter but before he can get anywhere close, I grab his arm in a tight grip. He tries to pull his arm away but can't. His repeatedly tries and I smile at his pathetic attempts.

"At ease agent." A stunned colonel commands. "General Patton has said that wars are fought with weapons but they are won by men. We are going to win this war because we have the best men." He glances at Steve. "And because they are going to get better. Much better. And at the end of the week, I will personally choose one of you soldiers to become a new breed of soldier. A supersoldier."

"Like that will ever happen." I say under my breath making Carter smile slightly.

Over the next few days, I watch as Steve trains or well tries to. It was a very painful experience. It's safe to say Steve can't run, climb or carry anything above 5 pounds. He also has a special talent of getting caught in barbed wire wherever he goes.

"Pick up the pace, ladies!" Colonel shouts at the men running in synchronisation and as expected, Steve is about 5 feet behind everyone else. "Let's go, let's go. Double time. Come on. Faster. Move. Squad, halt." Colonel commands. "This flag means that we are only at the half way point. First man to bring it back to me gets a ride back with Agent Carter and our lovely Demi. Move."

I quietly chuckle as all the men scramble to try climb up the pole. Everyone barely gets 2 feet off the ground. It was hilarious.

Then Steve walks over ignoring the colonel's orders, he pulls out a pin and the pole falls. Everyone falls silent as Steve strolls over to flag, picks it up and hands it to the Colonel.

"Thank you, sir." He says before climbing into the back of the truck which holds me and Peggy.

"Maybe, their is hope for you. Stevie."
