Longingly, I gaze out of the plane's window down at the ground below.
"The Hydra camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges. It's a factory of some kind." Peggy explains.
"We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep." Howard adds.
"Just get us as close as you can." Steve says. "You know, you two are gonna be in a lot of trouble when you land."
"And you won't?" Peggy replies.
"Where we going, if anybody yells at us, we can just kill them." I reassure her.
"They will undoubtedly try to kill you aswell." She says, very anxious.
"Then let's hope being a vampire is good for something." I smile.
"Agent Carter. If we're not in too much of hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late night fondue." Howard smirks.
Well that was awkward.
"Stark is the best civilian pilot I've ever seen. He's mad enough to brave this airspace. We're lucky to have him." Peggy compliments.
"So do you two, you know, fondue?" I slap my forehead at Steve's forehead.
"I would rather be anyway else right now." I mumble.
Peggy ignores Steve's question, "This is your transponder. Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you."
"Are you sure this thing works?" Steve voices his concerns.
"It's been tested more than you, pal." Howard jokes.
Gunfire starts to echo around us as bullets start to hit the plane. Steve grabs my hand pulls me towards the open door of the plane.
"Get back here. We're taking you all the way in." Peggy shouts.
"As soon as we're clear, you turn this thing around and get the hell out of here!" Steve shouts back.
"You can't give me orders." Peggy insists.
"Why not? He's a captain." I defend Steve.
Steve jumps as I hold tightly onto his hand as Steve pulls out his parachute and soars through the air. As soon as we're close enough to the ground, I let go and land firmly on the ground. Steve lands to my right, walking up behind me.
"What do you hear?" Steve whispers.
I focus on my hearing. Footsteps. Loading guns. Crying. Machines.
"There's guards. And an alarm system." I suddenly pull Steve down behind some bushes and then about a minute later, cars and vans drive past us.
We both then run up to the last van and jump into the back, quickly looking up at two hydra guards staring at us.
"Fellas." I smile flirtatiously.
Then I grab their heads and bash them together multiple times before throwing them out the truck.
"Nice." Steve compliments.
"You're welcome." I wink.
We then wait until the vans had gotten into the facility. We wait until someone came to check on the back of the van before knocking him out and running towards the back door, quickly pulling it open. We get to a corridor that has over 10 doors. Once we find the right one, Steve quickly taps on the window which catches the guards attention. Once the guard opens the door, Steve quickly shuts it on his head, instantly knocking him out.
We search the whole facility until we finally find the hostages.
"Did you get the keys?" I ask Steve, he nods in response.
As Steve unlocks all the cages. I look everywhere, my heart clenching when I don't see Bucky.
"Steve, he's not here." I tell him.
"I'm looking for a Sergeant James Barnes." Steve asks the hostages.
"There's an isolation ward in the factory but no one's ever came back from it." One explains.
"Alright. The tree line is northwest, 80 yards past the gate. Get out fast and give 'em hell. We'll meet you guys in the clearing with anybody else we find." Steve says.
"Wait. You guys know what you're doing?" A man questions.
"Yeah. We've knocked out Adolf Hitler over two hundred times." I reply sarcastically.
Me and Steve then run down the corridor, briefly stopping when an alarm sounds through the building. Me and Steve split up as I see a scientist at the end of the corridor. I sped down the hallway about to go after the scientist but a voice grabs my attention.
"Sergeant 32557." The man whispers.
I quickly run in and gasp as I see Bucky. I run over to him and shake him.
"Bucky." Tears well up in my eyes at his state.
"Steve." I shout.
Steve quickly runs into the room.
"Oh my God."
