It had been a few days since we signed the contract and we were beginning the execution of contractual obligations.
I had already made a comeback to social media with a plain black post on Instagram. The caption consisted of me sending my condolences to Jordie's family and asking that people be sensitive when talking about it out of respect for her family.
I also shared important helpline contact numbers for people who were suffering from drug abuse.
On the other hand, Raymond (I was still getting used to referring to him by his real name), wasn't required to make any posts.
Also, a date for our video set had been set and we had already received the brief. If people were going to need any confirmation for the dating rumours, the video was sure as hell going to be it.
The plan to spark the dating rumours was for Raymond and me to go out for dinner where we would be 'spotted' by the paparazzi. Devon along with his manager, Alexia, we're going to make the necessary calls to have them at the right place at the right time.
Raymond appeared in my dresser mirror as he came to stand behind me. I was busy putting on my make-up look for the dinner that I wasn't really looking forward to. I had been thinking of ways to not be awkward while still playing the 'in-love girlfriend' at the same time.
"You look good," he complimented me, just standing with his hands in his pockets.
He was already dressed in some jeans, a black polo neck, and some diamond chains. His dreads were styled into twists and he had a freshly trimmed beard.
"Thanks," I softly responded, dabbing highlighter on my cheekbones, "you look good too."
He nodded his head with a quick smile and exited the room.
I should've stayed home that day.
Surely disappointing Zara would've been better than all of this.
I put heels on to compliment my red corset dress and walked into my living room.
He was using his phone and looked up when he saw me.
"Let's go," I informed him, grabbing my purse.
The car ride was silent.
We got to a restaurant known as Chiota and almost immediately the flashes appeared from nowhere.
They weren't within the closest proximity to us, but I felt them from a distance. I waited for Raymond to open my car door and grab a hold of my hand. It kind of put me at ease, even though the butterflies had been making circles in my stomach. We pretended like the men with cameras weren't there.
He led us into the restaurant and it wasn't as full of people like we requested. Only a few other people had been there and we had been appointed our own section.
