Wings Of Fire: The Wings Of War

~Chapter 10~

Tundra woke up to find herself chained on a platform in the middle of the sky. Her wings were also bound, and she couldn't fly. Her vision was very fuzzy, she was dizzy, starving, and her body ached all over.

She stood to her feet, only to see Sandstorm below her, with a crowd of Skywings cheering. She was fighting, Tundra couldn't see with who, but they were prisoners in the Skywing palace.

Tundra looked over, and saw Dune and Rattlesnake on each pillar next to her. Dune was laying on her piller, lashing her tail. Rattlesnake on the other talon, didn't look so good.

Right, he got stabbed. Wouldn't they heal him though? Tundra thought.

Rattlesnake was laying on his side, not moving a muscle, he was breathing though. Tundra looked down only to see Sandstorm fighting an IceWing.

Well this is great. Were prisoners in the Skywing kingdom. We get to sit here and wait to be forced to fight each other for entertainment. And I don't have a doubt in my mind that I will be forced to fight one of my friends, especially if they know, or find out that I'm animus.

Tundra sat down on the platform, her mind spinning. She looked over to an opening in the palace, where she saw a beautiful Skywing, covered in jewelry, sitting on a throne overlooking the area.

That must be the queen. Tundra thought. She saw the queen looking at Tundra, as two SkyWing guards flew up to her.

Oh wonderful She thought.

Tundra watched Sandstorm slice her talons right through the IceWings stomach.

Well he's dead.. Tundra thought, feeling sick.

Tundra looked around, overlooking the arena. There were a lot of dragons chained here. None of them were Skywings. There were alot of Icewings and Seawings though. At least Tundra didn't stand out.

She looked down only to see Sandstorm snarling at 3 Skywings guards. Eventually they contained her, and flew her back up to her platform. Her platform was next to Dunes.

Tundra looked out over her platform inspecting the arena. All she saw was blood, and dragon bones. At the corner of her eye however, she spotted a shiny blue jewel. It was too bright to be a sapphire.

I read a scroll about these... Tundra thought. Dreamvisitors...

Gems that allow the user to go into a sleeping dragon's dreams, at the consequence the user of the gem is seeable by the sleeping dragon.

"The winner of that fight was obviously the weird looking Sandwing!" The queen of Skywings announced from her throne.

Tundra looked over to see Sandstorm snarling from her platform down at the crowd.

The Skywing queen disappeared into the palace, as the audience started flying off. Tundra layed on her platform. She thought for a long time, stopping when she saw 2 SkyWings flying over to Rattlesnakes platform. One of them was holding a jar of green liquid.

What in all the moons is THAT? Tundra thought.

The guard landed on Rattlesnakes platform and started rubbing the liquid on his SandWing stab wound.

Are they healing him? Tundra wondered.

When the guards left the platform, one of them hovered in the air for a moment looking at Tundra before flying off.

That was weird.. Tundra thought kinda worried.

A little while later Tundra saw Rattlesnake stand up and stretch.
