20th, February

Addie had a small warm glow in her stomach for ages. Maybe it was because Jeff remembered her name. Maybe it was because Jeff didn't look horrible (even though she did say that he looked horrible).

Ned was still inside the room. Addie could hear him speaking to the doctors. Jeff hadn't woken up yet. A doctor came outside, with a clipboard with paper on it. "You can come on in now, he's awake up, just don't scream." The doctor said.

Addie nodded. Not screaming wasn't that hard, was it?

She followed the doctor into the room. Ned was standing in front of the bed, looking down at Jeff. Addie stood next to Ned. Jeff's eyes were half-open, but he was definitely awake.

Jeff saw a friendly face looking down at him. It looked concerned. Next to that, was a pretty face, amber eyes looked down at him.

Jeff remembered that the first face, was, someone from school? Someone he was looking for?

He had no idea who the first one was. Even if he did, he didn't remember the name. He just remembered that the guy pickpocketed sometimes.

The second one, well that was harder. Jeff had definitely seen her before. No idea where, though. His whole life was a mystery. He couldn't remember anything. His head hurt. Everything hurt. His eyelids began to grow heavy.

He blacked out.

Jacqueline

As Jacqueline had dinner with Adam, something didn't feel right. Maybe it was the fact that Adam was right there, acting like nothing had happened since the last saw each other.

They were step-siblings, but born to hate each other.

Adam hated Jacqueline because she was just a misfit. She didn't belong in the family. Or any other families. She didn't deserve to have a family, either. Adam treated Jacqueline like a rat. Literally. Even Adam's father disrespected Jacqueline.

So Jacqueline got her revenge. By stealing. Not like Ned, though, Jacqueline thought. Ned did pickpocketing. That was not as bad. Jacqueline stole multiple things from Adam. For example, his wedding ring that he was going to give to his girlfriend. Also, his jacket, so he had to stand in the shivering cold for 3 hours.

Not only that, but Jacqueline cost her stepbrother 14 jobs (by making fun of him in the interviews or saying that he made fun of the job earlier), 3 wives (by stealing the rings or telling the bride some lie about Adam), 27 parties (by telling the person who was hosting it that Adam was secretly a killer and wanted to kill them all), 5 houses (by literally wrecking the house to ashes), 13 vacations (by telling Adam that it was on a different day), 7 apartments (by going in as Adam and saying that she wanted a refund), well... you get the point.

Adam was so angry, but Jacqueline didn't stop. Adam didn't stop, either. He kept on treating Jacqueline like a rat. So none of them stopped.

Karma circled around them for what seemed like forever, getting faster with every round.

Ned

Ned was used to waking up early. Mainly because of school, and football, and his addiction to wake up at 5 everyday, -even on weekends- pickpocket somebody on the street, eat, lie, count the money earned (his highest was $468!), spend, sleep, eat, sleep, spend, and repeat.

Now, though, he woke up at 5 and went outside. He discovered no one wore jeans, or anything with pockets. An exhausting waste of time.

So he went back to Addie's hotel. To eat. Then, he also discovered that breakfast wasn't served at 5:24 AM. Even in London's hotels, they had an automatic fridge in each hotel room which you could use anytime you wanted to. There wasn't even a vending machine that you could use whenever you wanted. There wasn't even water bottles nearby.

So, he did the most obvious thing that he could think of.

He rang the bell of Addie's room.
