29th, May

Jacqueline kind of wished that she could have been born from a different mother. It's not like her mother was mean to her, her mother was much nicer compared to Adam.

It's just the fact that Jacqueline's mother choose to be with Adams's father. It just wasn't fair that she had to go after she got married to Adam's father. Adam and his father used to call Jacqueline 'Dog's servant,' they used to joke about that. It made Jacqueline do all of these crazy things.

Jacqueline's story is like Cinderella's, except if you remove the whole happy ending and the fairy grandmother, you get her story.

Addie

Addie sat next to Ned, who was currently passed out on the floor. "Gosh, what the hell?" She sobbed, dabbing a wet cloth on Ned's forehead continuously. Blood soaked up on the cloth.

"Already lost one person, can't lose two, can't lose two..." The cut on Ned's forehead slowly stopped bleeding and clotted up. It was quite a big cut.

Addie stroked her hair and stood up. Her head hurt. She massaged her temples thoroughly.

She passed out herself from all the pressure.

Addie had a dream.

She was coming back from her job as an newspaper editor -something she always wanted to be. Addie looked much older.

She shoved some keys into a keyhole of a house. The door opened and the sweet scent of cooking food filled Addie's nostrils. Someone came running up to her with a wide smile. It was Jeff. Jeff's arms wrapped around Addie's body. He was so comfortable, his arms gripped tightly, like he never wanted to let go.

"Huh? Huh?" Addie sat there, gasping for air, gripping on some bars she felt for. Ned was in front of her, with a confused expression in his face. He didn't have his cut on his forehead anymore.

Addie rolled back into the present. That never happened. It was all just a dream. But then, the most unbelievable thing happened.

"Addie, are you 'kay?" It was Jeff's voice, and it came from Jeff's mouth, but it seemed completely impossible. Jeff was at the hospital... he had a head injury. He wasn't allowed to leave for 6-8 months...

Wait, what??

No. Impossible.

'Impossible itself says I'm possible!' Her English teacher chided her. It was only a memory, but it felt so real.

Addie looked around again. It felt like she was in slow mode.

No. This is just another dream. Jeff's in the hospital!

The two boys both had concerned expressions. "Dude, give her some time. She's just realising where she is." Ned said, putting an arm on Jeff's shoulder.

Jeff still looked pretty concerned, but he pursed his lips and backed away.

Addie blacked out.
