The bright sunlight basking on Jin's flawless face was distracting Taehyung from driving. He can't help but admire how Jin looked so innocent and seductive at the same time - just how he exactly was fifteen years ago.

Jin's eyes were closed as he inhaled deep the fresh air caressing his face as their car swiftly drift along the road surrounded by tall greeneries.

Jin sighed and smiled, opening his eyes slowly, "I think this is the most sunlight I've ever had since I started working."

Taehyung smiled, "You don't go to vacations often?!"

Jin shook his head, "Nope. It was a never-ending hustle at work, that's why."

"I see. In contrary to that, I'm exposed to sunlight almost everyday. I live by the coast in the US. My friends and I, sometimes with Jungkook - we used to surf or just hang out by the beach on a weekend."

"That must've been fun." Jin smiled a bit, he looked at Taehyung - whose eyes are still on the road.

"Yeah, it was."

Jin nodded, then he asked, "What brought you back to Seoul? We actually thought you didn't have any plans of coming back."

"I had to.. for our company. And to-- to organize my engagement and wedding."

Jin looked away and pressed his lips together, trying to find the words to say. He just muttered, "Ah, I see."

Taehyung bit his bottom lip, regretting his response. So he tried to quickly change the subject, "Look there-- it's almost like the beach side of Malibu. The first beach I visited in the US when I got there."

"It's beautiful." Jin turned to look.

"You remember? I sent you a postcard of it. I wanted to share with you some moments I had in there - I thought you might be interested. Did you receive it?!"

Jin creased his forehead, trying to remember what Taehyung was pertaining to.

Taehyung asked again when he didn't get a response from Jin, "Or you didn't open my letters at all?! I don't blame you, I--"

"I didn't receive any, Tae."

Taehyung was silenced. He didn't know if Jin was just saying this so he won't get offended, or if he's really saying the truth.

Jin stared at Taehyung for a while, he then asked, "Were those letters your responses to mine?!"

"You sent me letters?!"

"Y-yeah. And emails. But the emails bounced back. I'm not sure if I was sending them to the correct address."

Taehyung abruptly stopped, stepping to the brakes hard. Jin gasped as he was startled by the sudden halt.

"Tae! Are you nuts?! Why would you do that?!"

"You were writing me letters?!!" Taehyung ignored Jin's comment and just repeated his question, this time he's facing Jin.

"Y-yes. I said yes-- I was. But I didn't know you were responding to them. I thought I wasn't receiving any maybe because I changed my address already. But I kept on asking my mum if there were mails for me, but she said there's none. So I-- I thought you were ignoring m-my letters."

Jin then fidgeted his fingers, stared down at them, and bit his lips - waiting for what Taehyung would say.

Taehyung sighed deeply, he said softly, "I didn't get any of your mails, Jin. I was just sending you postcards and letters, but same as you - I thought you were just ignoring me too."

"Oh--"

Jin raised his head and looked at Taehyung too. As they stared at each other, Taehyung's eyes just displayed longingness, and Jin was hurting and confused at the same time.
