" I- That's ridiculous- " I stuttered, feeling my face turn red. " No it's not! " Hange laughed. " Out of all of the people he's met in his life, you think I would be the one to catch his eye?! " I scoffed, looking around to find something to do. " I mean. . .I dunno. . .go ask him yourself! " She suggested, making me shake my head vigorously. " Absolutely not. " I sighed. " Oh come on! I'm more than 100 percent positive the short fella is crushing on you. " She protested. Before I could continue to object, Emmeline whipped her head around, furrowing her brow. I looked up to meet eyes with a familiar gray stare. " Would you guys like some fresh tea to celebrate? " Pearl asked, holding a tray full of small cups of tea. " What for? " Emmeline sounded genuinely confused. " Here. " She handed us the cups, setting down the tray. " You guys haven't been up with the news, huh? " She asked in a sly tone as I drank the tea. " Just tell us what you're talking about, for goodness sake. " Hange blurted out, irritated. " Alright, alright! Calm down. " She cleared her throat exaggeratedly.

" There's a new Classification System for the Association. "

I almost spit out the tea that was in my mouth, her words taking me by complete surprise. " . . .What kind of- Classification System are we talking about?- " I coughed. Either I choked on the tea, or it was steeped for too long. " It's one that will keep us more organized and stuff. It sorts us and our patients into categories based on either experience or how bad injuries or cuts are. " She took a sip from her own cup of tea. Emmeline looked at me with a shocked expression. " . . .I need to go somewhere- " I jerked up from out of my seat and marched past Pearl and out into the bustling hallway.

Tears were stinging my eyes when I burst the Captain's door open. He looked up from his paperwork with an irritated expression, but his eyes softened when they met mine. " What's wrong?- " He asked as I threw myself onto the chairs in front of his desk, hanging my head. " Tiffany?- " He asked as tears streamed down my face. " The association came out with a system just like mine!! " I shrieked, his eyes widening. " I- I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding- " He said. " A misunderstanding?! It's the SAME AS THE ONE I CAME UP WITH!!! " I screamed. " Hey- Calm down- " His voice was stern. " How am I supposed to calm down?! " I sobbed. All of that hard work, those restless nights, all of the paperwork we did, all for them to just take our idea and make it their own?! " Let's think this through. I know you're upset right now, but we need to think clearly. " The Captain pointed out as I tried to dry my face. I nodded. " . . .Are you completely positive it's your system? " He asked. " Yes! Pearl came to us and told us about it! She said that we were going to be split up into groups based on either nursing experience or how bad the patient is injured. It sounds exactly like what I came up with! " I exclaimed. " Pearl told you this? " I nodded. " It could be some kind of scheme of hers. Did you hear anything else at all? " He asked. " No. . .that's all. . ." The Captain sighed, sitting back and crossing his arms. " Why didn't you observe further?? She could be lying to you for all you know! " He scolded me. " How would she know how the system worked if she wasn't told anything about it?! " I pointed out. " She could have overheard someone or something. " He suggested. " That's impossible. Our conflict was after I had come up with the idea, and she works practically on the other side of the clinic! " I objected, The Captain baffled. " . . .Then something else has to be going on. We don't know enough information to accuse her of anything just yet. " He said. " I need you to look more into this matter yourself. Bring me any information that could be useful to us. We should try to gather as much intel as possible to piece together what's going on. " He met my eyes as I wiped the last of my tears, nodding. I got up to leave, but the Captain continued to speak. " And by all means, do not let that blonde idiot know we're collecting information. Let her spill as much onto you as possible. Don't lose your cool like you did just now. " He ordered. " I'll try to. " I forced a laugh, getting up and walking out the door.
