Chapter 34: Nostalgic Lanes and Presenting Victor: Part- 1

The lessons and the preparations were going on full swing but still they were facing lack of time to cover up as there were hardly 2 days left to be precise. But after the chalet incident, the girls have become more serious about the competition and they just anyhow had to defeat those British girls.

The girls had their lunch in the Roy Choudhary haveli itself and all the arrangements for all their refreshments and requirements were done here itself so that they don't have to waste their times going their homes for the same.

All of them were seated near their respective ground touching desks and stools while Anirudh wrote some chemical formulae on the board. It was just written for his own reference so that he can teach them easily. Otherswise every thing written on the board were some mere scribblings for them.

"Saabun ka raasniyak naam, Sodium Stearate hota hai. Ye sawaal puche jaane ki sambhaawna hai isiliye dhyaan se sune." Anirudh started with a new chapter while the girls tried hard to listen with their chin rested on their palms.

A class soon after lunch will definitely make anyone yearn for a small nap. But they knew that they had less time and sat straight shaking their heads trying hard not to yawn.

"Detergent, yaani jiss saabun se hum kapde dhote hai. Kabhi socha hai kaise ye saabun humare kapdo se daag nikaata hoga?" He asked turning towards them.

"Sir Babu, Saabun ka toh kaam hi hai daag nikaana." Ashalata said slightly stretching her arms.

"Pehle toh seedhe hoke baitho tum. Ye angdaaiyaan lena bandh karo. Agar neend aa rahi hai toh muh dhoke aao." Anirudh said stictly to which she nodded and sat straight.

"Waise sahi kaha Ashalata ne. Par wo kaise hota hai? Ye kabhi socha hai?" Anirudh asked to which everyone nodded in a no. "Main batata hu." He started explaining the entire procedure trying to use easy and general terms and everyone listened intently.

He turned towards the board and writing on it he said "aur iss prakriya ke gathan ko Miscelle kehte hai." He suddenly heard a soft yet audible chuckle from his right side and recognised the voice. Without turning he threw the chalk making sure it doesn't actually hit her.

The chalk exactly landed on Tapur's desk. She saw him turn around giving her a stern glare. "Chutkula suna raha hu main yaha?" He asked in a low volume yet scary enough for them.

"Kaksha ki monitor hoke anushaasan tod rahi ho tum Tapur toh dusro se kya umeed karenge!" This time he increased his voice making her look down in fear but her lips were still pressed together holding hard not to laugh or smile but failed eventually making him crease his eyebrows in disbelief.

"Tum aise nahi maanogi na? Zara hume bhi batao aisa kya sochke hass rahi ho tum. Hmm? Hum sab bhi zara has lenge." He mocked.

"S... Saari sir babu." Tapur apologised timidly but the small smile didn't vanish. "Batao kya baat hai." He snapped. "Wo kuch yaad aa gaya tha." She said looking up and as she did, she laughed again after looking at him for a moment. All the other girls looked worried for her. "Tapur pagal ho gayi hai kya. Chup chap maafi maangke baith ja." Tupur warned from behind but seems like she didn't here that.

"Nahi Tupur. Zara hume bhi pata chale ki aisa kya yaad aa gaya isse. Woh bhi paath ke beech. Batao Tapur" He interrupted Tupur and said sarcastically.

"Aapne jo abhi ye jo padhaya, Masale ke baare mein..." "Miscelle" he corrected her sternly. "Ha wahi. Ussey mujhe kisi ki yaad aa gayi." She said looking at him with a toothy smile while everyone looked at her in confusion.

"Aapko saabun aur unke prakriya ke baare mein kitna kuch pata hai." She said in a slight dramatic way and continued "par kayee saal pehle humare yaha ek kaam wali baai aati thi. Jinhe ye tak nahi pata tha ki kya saabun hai, aur kya neel hai." The stern expression vanished from Anirudh's and changed into confusion. Why is his lesson getting compared with some maid?
