Chapter 16: Shuffled responsibilities

The sun rise was casted with a rosy hue covering the morning sky. The boys were gathered on the ground at their allotted time along with Anirudh while, Eliza was given a chance by the Thakuma and Anirudh as she claimed that she didn't want the Britishers to win for some reasons and therefore she started to teach the girls at the chalet. And this thing was actually helpful for them as they are getting more time to be taught unlike last time when the time was divided among boys and girls, since she had taken the responsibility to teach them in place of Anirudh.

Today it was Phillips's who turned up to the classroom to prepare the girls as he got a minor injury while Soccer practice and he was advised to take rest by the doctor. Thus Bondita took the responsibility of the Soccer practice. But for the moment, she was busy going through some important papers given by Jacob.

One of their worker who was told to prepare the copy of the notes handed her the same and she started to check them holding it in front of her face.

Meanwhile Chandrachur reached there with Prabeen carrying a file which contained the papers required for his business establishment as well as some property papers which Bondita asked him to get them for a certain purpose. Seeing her, he was again lost at the figure standing in front cladded in a white and pink floral saree.

"Jo laane ke liye kaha tha wo leke aaye Chandrachur?" Bondita said still holding the paper in front of her face. "Tumhe kaise pata chala ki main yaha aaya hu?" Asked Chandrachur shockingly yet being overjoyed by the fact she recognised his presence. She smirked and kept the notes aside and uttered "Billi jab aankhe bandh karke doodh peeti hai, toh usey lagta hai ki poori duniya andhi hai." He gave a confused look and asked "matlab?"

She ignored his question and said "ye file yahi rakhke jaao aur agar jo bhi kaam hai toh tumhe bata diya jaayega." He nodded and kept the file and was about to leave when she said "Ruko. Prabeen, aaj se tum yahi rukhke, humare liye kaam karoge." She said looking at Prabeen. "Kyu?" Asked Chandrachur as in why was Prabeen kept there and not him. "Kyuki agar Thakuma, aur baakiyo ko pata chal jaayega ki unke apne hi Jamai unhe dhokha de rahi hai, toh mera kaam mushkil ho jaayega. Waha ki khabar lana aur unpe nazar rakhna, sirf tum hi kar sakte ho kyuki unhe tumpe bharosa hai aur isi bharose ka hume fayda uthana hai.

Prabeen toh kaam karta hai na tumhare liye. To ab se mujhe jo bhi kaam tumse karwana hoga, wo main Prabeen ke dauraan karaungi. Agar tumhe koi khabar ya tum tak koi khabar bhejwana ho, toh wo Prabeen ke dwaara hoga. Samjhe? Kaam wahi hai, bas zimmedari badli hai.

"Toh surya prakash ki kiran jab prism mein se guzarti hai, toh wo 7 rango mein bat jaati hai. Aur ussi tarah se banta hai rainbow, yaani ki indradhanush." Eliza explained the girls about the dispersion of light. Precisely, formation of the band of colours by holding a prism. All the girls were amazed by knowing the science behind this.

"Toh aise banta hai indradhanush? Mujhe toh lagta tha Indra Dev aasmaan se baarish ki teer maarte hai aur usi teer ko indradhanush kehte hai." Uttered Maushmi being surprised. Eliza chuckled a bit hearing this but was quickly snapped by Madhura "Sahi baat toh hai. Indra ka dhanush hi toh hota hai ye Indradhanush. Warna baarish thodi hoti aur na hi aasmaan mein ye Prijham wagera hote hai indradhanush banne ke liye.

"Hmm baat toh sahi kahi tumne Madhura." Said Eliza to which Madhura gave a see-I-was-right expression to them while Eliza continued "ab aasmaan mein thodi prism hota hai, toh kaise banta hoga rainbow? Acha ye batao iss prism ka rang kya hai?" All the girls confusingly looked at each other. "Iska toh koi rang nahi hai." Said Shorvori. "Aur ye batao baarish ke boond ka kya rang hota hai?"Asked Eliza to which Tapur replied "Paani ka bhi koi nahi hota..." she paused for a moment and getting a hint she elatedly continued "toh iska matlab jaise ye Prijham se roshni guzarne pe 7 rang bante hai, bilkul vaise hi baarish ke boondh suraj ke sankarp mein aane par banta hai aasmaan mein indradhanush. Haina?" "Toh iska matab baarish ki boonde ye Prijham wala kaam karte hai. Sahi kaha na?" Asked Sampoorna.

Eliza clapped in their appreciation and said "Bilkul sahi kaha aap logo ne. Shabaash." All the girls were finding the studies interesting as they were getting explore many new things which they never imagined that such things were taking place in the world. Eliza brought a chart of pictorial representation of whatever was taught and hung it beside the black board and said "Ab tak jo kuch bhi sikhaya maine, wo sab iss chitra ki madad se yaad kar lo."

While studying the chart Tupur was having some doubt regarding the topic, so she approached towards Eliza and requested her to explain it again.
She started to explain the topic to clear her doubt in a simple manner sitting beside her. While she was explaining, Tupur saw a long scar starting from her left eyebrow to her left eye lid. All these times, it wasn't visible as it was properly concealed with makeup, but now sitting beside her closely, it was visible clearly.

"Elija medam, ek baat puchu?" Asked Tupur to which Eliza smilingly nodded in a yes. "Aapke chehre pe ye nishaan kaisa?" Hearing this Eliza went numb.

"Ahaana Aas ka iss mission mein involve karna khatre se khaali nahi hai. Maana ki ussey kisi ne bhi dekha hai, par uske hamla karne ke anokhe tareeko se ye angrez khoob wahkhif hai. Aur uske aanko pe jo ghaav ka nishaan hai, agar ussey unn angrez logo ne dekh liya na, toh ussey pehchanane aur uss tak pohochne mein mushki hogi kya unhe?" Uttered Yusaf to his fellow revolutionary mates as they have gathered at an abandoned place to plan about the attack at the party conducted for welcoming the Viceroy general to assassinate him along with the British officials.

Hearing this Abhoy said "Toh phir aur kya kare? Ek wahi hai jo hume unn agrezo ke baare mein khabar de sakti hai. Ek wahi hai jo bina kisi ko pata chale hamla kar sakti hai. Ussi ne inn sab ki zimmdari li hai."

"Toh ab badalni hogi. Khabar aur yojna bhale hi wo degi par uss yojna pe kaam karne ki zimmedari kisi aur ko leni hogi. Taaki wo ya hum kisi museebat mein na pade." Said Yusaf looking at the map of their campaign.

"Waise hai kaha iss waqt Ahaana Aas?" asked Aman. "Ladkiyon ko padhane ke bahane, humare liye khabar ikhatta kar rahi hai."
