Sirius and Meg watched James hug his parents goodbye almost enviously. They couldn't help but long for the parents they could've had. But it never got the better of them and they waved to Mr and Mrs Potter as the train began to depart.

"Sixth year!" James yelled as they sat down in their compartment.

"It's not that big of a deal, Potter!" Lily shouted as she passed their compartment. James swooned and blew her a kiss which she gagged at. "She loves me, really." He reassured his friends who were laughing.

"In your dreams." Laurie spat as she took a seat beside Meg. "What brings you here?" Meg asked her, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Not what you think," Laurie rolled her eyes, "I just wanted to remind you that you can spend your whole train ride with these arseholes, sorry, Lupin, not you, your fine, Meg can spend as much time as she wants with you." She smirked as she backed  out of the compartment.

"That was something." Sirius smiled dreamily. James threw Meg a smug look to which she hid her face at.

"I DID NOT KISS HIM WHEN WE WERE AT HIS HOUSE!" She shouted. Remus blushed and James and Sirius began to laugh.

"What's so funny?" Peter asked as he entered, taking a place in between Sirius and Remus. The remaining four silenced themselves, the silence only being broken once James used his big mouth.

"Moony and Cal-" He was cut off. "We did nothing, you idiot!" Meg retorted, color not leaving her cheeks.

"That's what you say-" James smirked. "And we say you snogged Remus." Sirius finished.

-

"So you did or you didn't?" Lily asked her as Meg sat down, looking quite distraught.

"I wish I did." Meg muttered under her breath. "Sorry," Laurie said dryly, "I didn't quite hear that."

"I said," Meg began louder, "I WISH I DID." The girls in the compartment all got to their feet and started dancing around, singing at the top of their voices, "WE WERE RIGHT!" much to Meg's dismay. She sat down in a free seat and held her head in her hands.

"Tell us what happened." Claire asked once the girls settled down.

"Well, you know how me, Sirius and James went to Remus's for a bit of the summer?" The girls nodded, "Well Remus came into the house I ran straight into him and I was very close to kissing him an I didn't" Her face fell at the last moment.

"You're so hopeless sometimes." Lily sighed, running her hands through her hair.

"You dated one boy, Lily," Felicity sighed, "I don't think you can call her hopeless."

"And that boy was ugly." Claire gagged. The girls nodded their agreement. Lily rolled her eyes, "Alright, maybe he wasn't the best looking boy, but I felt bad for him."

"He broke up with his girlfriend, dummy, how can you feel bad for someone like that?" Laurie said, stretching her body across the seats and placing her head on Meg's lap.

"You better just go out with Potter," Alice sighed, "Before all the good ones taken."

"Alice, you literally already have a boyfriend, you don't have problems." Marlene said.

The compartment went oddly silent for a moment, each of the girls in deep thought. Meg started playing with one of Laurie's stray curls nonchalantly. She wasn't really sure how she felt about all of this. She only started realizing her feeling in that moment. What was she suppose to do?

"I have it!" Alice burst, "Ask him out?" Laura facepalmed, "Alison Fortescue," She sighed deeply, "These two keep avoiding their feelings, unlike you and Frank. He asked you out randomly and you said yes, it doesn't work that way for everyone." Alice thought to herself for a moment then it all clicked and she drew back in her seat a bit. Meg looked down at her watch. They would nearly get to Hogwarts so she informed the girls and her and Laurie left for the girl's toilets as it was too crowded.

Meg got changed quite quickly but hung back. She stared endlessly at the mirror, fiddling with her tie until Laurie left her cubicle. She turned Meg to face her and started to do up her tie.

"Your in love." Laurie said simply. The two met each other's eyes. Meg shrugged, nodding a little. "You and Remus are made for each other." She said, popping up Meg's collar, "He's obviously in love with you. Done." Meg took a step back and looked at her neatly done tie.

"What do I say to him?"

"Oh, well that's something I can't help you with." Laurie said, not looking up from her tie which she was now doing, "I was never the romantic type."

"I think otherwise," Meg smirked, "Seeing the way you kissed Sirius."

"Faking it isn't that hard." Laurie scoffed, hiding her face. "You liked kissing him, didn't you?" Meg teased. Laurie stuck out her tongue and turned for the door.

"Promise me something?" She said, not turning around.

"Sure." Meg smiled.

"Don't tell the others."

"My lips are sealed." Meg laughed.
