"Hey, Tommy!" Ranboo said, jogging up to the Brit. "You need a ride home?"
Tommy looked around, probably making sure no one was paying attention, then nodded.
"Cool. Let's go. I gotta go get ready for a party and need time to convince Clay that I'll be fine."
Tommy's face grew suspicious.
"Party? What party?"
Ranboo shrugged.
"A birthday party apparently. She seemed nice when she asked so I figured I'd go. It's been a while since I've gone out."
The Brit's expression changed, but he hid it by turning his face away.
"Ah... okay... let's go."
Ranboo frowned, confused by Tommy's reaction.
"Okay..."
The two silently walked to the vehicle, neither even looking at the other.
Ranboo shifted the bag on his shoulders.
Why is it so awkward?
They got into the car and Ranboo headed for Tommy's house.
Tommy didn't speak the whole time. He didn't mess with the stereo, he didn't roll down the window, he didn't even look in Ranboo's direction.
Ranboo stopped in front of a giant estate.
The thing was three and a half stories high, had two balconies, and a giant porch. It was painted a bright white and had an intricate metal fence around the property.
He'd only ever been inside once, but the house looked like a mansion on the inside with it's polished floors and quartz pillars plus the intricate features in the white and gold marbled staircase. The chandeliers elegantly hung from the high ceiling and several plants sat in ceramic pots around the building, really showing off the family's wealth.
"Bye, To-"
The Brit slammed the door and rushed into the house, not looking back.
"Well damn... okay then." Ranboo muttered, starting to head to his own house. "I can take a hint."
Time skip~
"I'm headed out!" Ranboo shouted, walking as quickly as he could to the door.
He wasn't fast enough.
Clay stepped in front of the door, arms crossed.
"Where are you going?" Clay asked, eyeing Ranboo.
"Out." Ranboo said, trying to shove past him. His brother didn't move.
"Mark."
Ranboo sighed.
"I'm going to a party."
Clay opened his mouth to say something but Ranboo cut him off, already knowing the following questions that he would ask.
"No, there's no drugs or alcohol, no, I won't be out past midnight, yes, there are going to be others there that I know, and yes, I'll text you when I leave."
Clay huffed, then nodded.
"Okay... 12 o'clock, no later. Understood?"
"God, Clay, I'm not a baby." Ranboo said with a roll of his eyes.
"Understood?" Clay said again, more sternly.
"Yes, Clay."
"Good. I love you."
