Ranboo couldn't stop smiling. Even once he and Tommy had arrived, his smile was still plastered on his face.Tommy stood with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone. He typed with one hand, slightly hunched over his screen, a scowl on his face.
He blew a strand of curly hair away from his face, frustrated. The curl fell right back into place and he tried again to huff it away, but it went back into its spot. This went on for a few minutes until Ranboo had enough.
He scoffed and reached his hand out. Tommy jerked his head up, slightly recoiling from Ranboo's hand, but not enough to make Ranboo think he was uncomfortable with him doing this. So Ranboo gently tucked the curl behind Tommy's ear, watching with delight as a rosy pink covered the Brit's face.
Tommy looked at the ground, his embarrassment obvious.
"Fuck you," Tommy muttered, lightly punching Ranboo in the chest.
Ranboo figured it would've been a lot harder if they weren't in a crowded coffee shop at the moment.
'Where's Tubbo?" Ranboo asked, glancing around for their mutual friend.
Tommy looked at his phone.
"He said he was on his way, like, ten minutes ago."
Ranboo sighed. Classic Tubbo. He probably hadn't even left the house yet.
"You just wanna order, then find a seat and wait?" Ranboo asked.
Tommy thought for a moment, then shrugged.
"Sure. Whatever."
So Ranboo led the way to the line for drinks. After both of them had placed their order, they went to find a place to sit.
The coffee shop was pretty small, but most people got their drinks and left for school or work. Still, the place was pretty busy. All bar stools had been filled, and only a few two person tables were open.
Ranboo spotted an empty booth in the corner of the room, near the window looking out into the city. Tommy took a seat and left Ranboo in a predicament— he could either sit across from him or right beside him.
Tommy had scooted all the way to the window on the booth, but he could be expecting Tubbo to sit there. The other seat was probably the safest option, but what if that made Tommy upset?
"Uh… where do you want me to sit?" Ranboo asked finally.
Tommy looked up at him.
"I don't care," Tommy muttered. Ranboo watched to see where the blonde's eyes went, knowing he'd probably look at the place he would rather Ranboo sit.
Tommy didn't break eye contact with him though, so they were stuck staring at each other.
"Jesus Christ, man, just sit down. Tommy said, rolling his eyes.
"Where?" Ranboo asked again.
"I don't care!"
There.
Tommy glanced at the spot beside him. So Ranboo sat next to him. However, he barely was on the edge, not wanting to get too close to Tommy.
Tommy scoffed.
"See? That wasn't hard now was it?"
"It was excruciating," Ranboo said with a smile.
Tommy glared at him, but a small smile lifted the corners of his mouth.
"Hey Tom—" the voice stopped as both members of the duo looked over.
It was Tubbo, dragging along behind him a cute dark skinned boy with brown hair and brown eyes. Ranboo's eyes went to their interlocked hands and then it hit him. Tubbo has a boyfriend.
