My head is pounding, it feels like someone hit me in the head with a rock and I think I have found out a little more about my family but I don’t know if my step parents, if they are my step parents, were lying to me or not.

Five days later, Ash moaned as she slowly woke up to the feeling of the morning sun as it shined upon her and she slowly opened her eyes to see Zinc sleeping next to her. Suddenly the memories of what happened that night came flooding back and she quickly sat up while looking around for Link. She sighed as she saw that he was burying a dead rabbit under a small pine tree that sat the furthest from the cave. The dead rabbit was mangled and had chunks of its meat missing, the rabbit was also missing its head along with all four of its paws.

Ash smiled as she asked, “So do you like animals or is that one of the animals that you killed?”

Link sighed as he replied, “I guess it’s a little bit of both but more than anything, I feel bad that I have to kill them for their meat in the first place.”

Ash asked, “Did it work?”

Link smiled as he said, “Yes, it worked and I appreciate what you did last night, he doesn't deserve this curse.”

Ash smiled as she said, “You are a good brother Link, he should be happy to have you as a brother.”

Link smiled as he asked, “Thanks, hey… if I let you go would you come back here to night so we could do the same thing as last time or meet me at the edge of the woods?”

Ash replied, “Alright, I will go with that, I wan’t to help in any way and if that means giving a lot of my blood then I will do that.”

Link smiled as he said, “Thanks Ash…um if you wan’t I can teach you how to protect yourself from creatchers that want your blood.”

Ash instantly said, “Yes, I would like to be your student.”

After three hours of Link teaching Ash how to protect herself, Zinc woke up and helped teach her how to do self defense. Three hours later, Zinc walked Ash to her house silently without saying a word as Ash looked in the opposite direction that Zinc was in.

Ash sighed as she asked, “So do you and your brother have a place to stay?”

Zinc asked, “Are you talking to me now after everything that I have done?”

Ash smiled as she replied, “I was just trying to start a conversation, that doesn’t mean that I forgive you or anything like that.”

Zinc sighed as he replied, “We are currently living in that cave that you saw.”

Ash asked, “When this is over, would you like to live in my place until you figure out what you want to do?” Zinc looked at Ash as she continued, “I have more than plenty of rooms.”

Zinc replied as he looked ahead, “If you don’t mind.”

They quickly reached the house and waited until nightfall to return to the cave where Link was waiting silently with no clothes on.

Link asked as he looked up into the sky, “It is almost time, are you ready?”

Ash exhaled deeply as she replied, “I am ready whenever you are.”

Three minutes later, Link transformed into a werewolf and bit into Ash’s neck. The blood dripped into his neck while Zinc quietly watched to make sure Link didn’t accidentally kill Ash. Once Ash passed out, Link released her from his jaws and carefully placed her onto the ground so she could sleep.
