THE NEXT DAY was beautifully peaceful; they all ate breakfast, chatted animatedly, discussed things and introduced each other. It turned out that there were more people around Ophelia's age than she thought.

The twins Katerine and Katherine had a best friend, Sofia Sebald, a lively and bubbly girl with gorgeous dreadlocks that were always in a neat ponytail. She had the most vibrant oak brown eyes Ophelia had ever seen.

Ophelia chatted with the adults, learning more and more about VFD, as she started falling in love with the concept of it. The blonde loved hearing about the noble work that VFD members did.

She also loved staring endlessly at the paintings that were hung on the walls of the corridor; they had the most calming effect on her. They were like portraits of a bright and vibrant world. Paintings to Ophelia were lovely; she loved the power it gave her, that she was able to create anything she imagined, without any restraints.

"Then I punched the stupid dude," Katherine continued on her story, faking a punch in the air. She was retelling the vivid missions that she had gone on with VFD, where the man had run threateningly towards her and how she reacted.

"That's not how you happened and you know it," Katerina giggled, as Katherine shot her a mock glare, blowing a strand of curly hair that was in front of her face.

Katerina and Katherine were carbon copies, Ophelia had blinked when she saw them, trying to see if they were hallucinations. They had the same dark brown eyes, the same smile, and sometimes even the same mannerisms. However, the aura they emitted was different, Katerina seemed a little shy at times, and girly as well, but Katherine was bold and outgoing and the clothes she would wear were mostly blacks.

As of right now, Katerina was wearing a white full-sleeved sweater with different coloured collars, a white skirt with thick tights underneath, and Katherine was wearing a black fleece full-sleeved sweater with wide woollen pants.

"Then how did it happen?" Katherine shot back.

"The man charged at you, you emitted the most soul-taking screech and jumped like a foot in the air, and then hit the man," Sofia said with a grin. Katherine rolled her eyes and leaned down at the foot of the sofa, as all of them were sitting on the carpet of one of the VFD's many sitting rooms.

Sofia moved to lay on Katherine's lap, as she looked up at the ceiling, her arms flying upwards as she played with Katherine's curly locks.

Ophelia observed them with amusement, as she was seated on the couch across from them.

"I hate these fricking adults man, why can't we accompany them?" A voice groaned entering the sitting room, and Ophelia turned her head to see Silas, talking with a disgruntled look on his face with Eugene. They both sat down next to Ophelia.

The blonde hadn't interacted with them at all and was surprised to see them that morning at the breakfast table. Silas had gotten sick from the weather change, (he came from somewhere warm) and Eugene had been stuck taking care of him.
