"The butterfly estate!" Mitsuri chirped "Shinobu owns it! It's a place where demon slayers go to heal up! Am sure Shinobu won't mind you staying until final selection." Mitsuri explained to Indigo and Jasper. "Come along now unless you would like to order more food!" Mitsuri said, the two gave her a small smile and shook their heads. "Alright come along now!" Mitsuri said and started to lead them elsewhere. "I don't know about you but am exhuasted." Indigo muttered to her brother, who nodded in agreement "really tho. Am exhuasted- my head hurts from how many times Sanemi smacked it...he is so annoying but bro is hot so it's fine." Jasper said with a amused look in his eyes as Indigo slightly snickered at his last comment. "What are you two laughing about, hmmmm?" Mitsuri asked, looking over her shoulder her lips pulled into a curious yet amused smile. "oh you know..nothing" Jasper casually replied "mhm." Mitsuri replied with the 'sure it's nothing.' tone.

"Is that it?" Indigo asked, pointing towards a building, It was pretty obvious since they were walking towards it but Indigo has the habit of doubling checking to see if she was right. "Yep!" Mitsuri said as she picked up her speed, her normal walk was now turned into a sprint. Jasper let out a sigh of annoyance seeing he had to sprint now, bro was tired and didn't want to have to run. His troubles were shared by his sister as her smile morphed into a pout as she ran after Mitsuri. Mitsuri stopped at the door and gently knocked. "Finally" Jasper breathed out under his breath as he reached Mitsuri and his sister. The door opened revealing a rather short girl, her hair was held up by a purple butterfly clip and she wore a oversized butterfly like haori. "Hello!~" She greeted, her face held a small welcoming smile. Her eyes looked over at the duo behind Mitsuri. Jasper paused and stared at her eyes, they creeped him they reminded him of a bug's beady eyes. 'her eyes are so pretty!' Indigo thought, looking back at the girl. "Hello Shinobu! These two need a place to stay, could they stay here?" Mitsuri asked, her green eyes glinted with hope. "Of course! come along you two!" Shinobu said, stepping outside to let them in. Mitsuri waved bye to them "Bye you two! Hope you enjoy you stay!" Mitsuri called out to them rather loudly as she walked away from the butterfly estate.

It was now the middle of the night, Jasper had woken up in a panic as he recalled the nightmare he just had. His dead family member corpses flashed through his mind as slowly got out of the bed. Tears pricked his eyes but he simply wiped them away as he went towards a hallway and just sat down on the floor. He blankly stared down at the floor, he wanted to cry but didn't want to wake Indigo up. The sound of footsteps alerted him and he snapped his up towards the sound. "Jasper?" Indigo whispered as she slowly walked over, being wary of her steps. "what's wrong? Did something happen?" She asked concerned as she sat down in front of him. "I-...I had a nightmare about them." He mumbled, glancing away, he felt like a child again crying to his siblings or parents he had a nightmare. "About who?" Indigo asked, she wasn't the brightest and frankly she had pushed the fact she saw her family dead out of her mind, they both had. "Our family." Jasper said, staring at her. Indigo made the 'oh' face. Silence filled the room before it was interrupted by a sob by Jasper. "why did this happen!? It's not fair!" He whispered yelled as tears ran down his face. Indigo's eyes also started to water "we didn't do anything to deserve this! why did they have to die!" Indigo sobbed. The two simply cried and attempted to talk about what happened. "What are you two doing-?" Shinobu asked as they both snapped their heads towards her. She stared at them in confusion and concern.
Pillow secerts:
-Shinobu ended up fixing them some tea and snacks before sending them back to bed
-Jasper and Indigo both get reoccurring nightmares about their family
-the next chapter will be the final selection
-the part where Jasper had a nightmare is heavily inspired by what my cousin wrote about Jasper and Indigo and I wanted to add it in
