chapter 13: follow the Zenitsu

Zenitsu loud sobs could be heard through the entire room "we're gonna die! We're gonna die!" He cried, clearly distressed by the room change.

"Teruko/Jasper!" Indigo and the kid said in unison, their voices panicked as they both lead Zenitsu to the wall which caused him to repeatedly stumble.

"we've got to get inside!" Indigo shouted as she placed her hands on the door, aggressively tapping on it, trying to hear him on the other side.

Indigo took in a sharp breath, choking back a panicked cry before exhaling as she turned to the kid, who was also quite panicked "It'll be ok. Your sister is with my brother and Tanjiro, she'll be fine, they protect her!" Indigo spoke reassuringly which seemed to give the kid some confidence.

"NO! SHHH DON'T BE SO LOUD! WE'VE GOTTA GET OUTSIDE!" Zenitsu cried, rather loudly despite him telling them to quiet down.

The kid promptly turned to Zenitsu, a stern look on his face, one Indigo didn't expect considering how young he looked. "All you can think of is to run away? Are you only interested in saving yourself? What about my sister? Aren't you embarrassed to always be whining? Why do you even carrying that sword at your waist?" the kid snapped, clearly irritated.

Before Indigo could even get a word out Zenitsu erupted into a waterfall of tears "THOSE WORDS REALLY CUT!" Zenitsu sobbed while covering his eyes before reaching his hand out and grabbing both the kid's wrist and Indigo, dragging them along.

"Zenitsu-..." Indigo spoke before getting cut off.

"YOU'RE RIGHT I'M ABOSUTLUTELY USELESS ! NO GOOD TO ANYONE!" Zenitsu sobbed loudly as he dragged them along, the force causing Indigo to slip and fall.

"Zenitsu you aren't useless-!" Indigo spoke once again, a little bit louder.

"WE'D BETTER GO OUTSIDE AND CALL AN ADULT!" Zenitsu contuined to cry and whine loudly, above the kid's protests.

"THIS IS THE THING LITTLE KIDS LIKE US CAN'T HANDLE!" Zenitsu whined as he dragged them to the other side of the room, opening the door quickly, only for it to reveal an empty room.

Zenitsu let out a terrified screech at this, stumbling back "N-NO WAY! NO WAY!" Zenitsu said frantically, whipping his head around before quickly running another way, Indigo and the kid following after.

"over here...?" He spoke hopefully as he opened another door only to reveal a man with a boar mask, slowly turning to him, the pig-man snorted, air coming out of his mask in a quick huff.

"A MONSTER!" Zenitsu screamed, turning to Indigo, instantly jumping on her, wrapping both his arms and legs around her, nearly toppling her over. The pig-man suddenly charged forward, quickly leaving the room, leaving Indigo to wonder if she had finally lost it. A pig-man? What the hell? Was he a demon? No of course not, If he was a demon he would have attacked.

The kid eyed Zenitsu judgmentally which caused Zenitsu to take great offense "HEY...WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!? CUT IT OUT!" Zenitsu sobbed, once again crying his eyes out, though he never actually stopped.

Pillow fort secrets:

-Indigo hates when people insult themselves, she usually gets so caught off guard when that happens that all she can say is 'no you're not!'

-Indigo is weirdly comfortable with touch as she tolerates being randomly jumped on or grabbed by Zenitsu

-Indigo's emotions tend to jump very quickly in high moving situations, she's quick to push away any concerns and tries to just focus on what is happening

-Indigo isn't a leader instead a follower and tends to go along with whoever is taking charge until she has got a good grasp on what is happening. In this case Zenitsu is the leader dragging them along
