"JUST A LITTLE LOWER." Maggie said to the group who was holding the rope. She was currently leaned over the well, watching as they dropped Emerson lower and lower. "Doin' okay?" She called down.
"Doin' just peachy!" Emerson nervously replied.
It didn't take long for Emerson to feel herself drop at a rapid pace that she began to shout for help. The screams from her people above her didn't help ease any of her anxiety about the situation.
"Get me out of here!" She cried. "Get me out! Hurry!" She started flailing her legs, trying to stop the Walker from reaching her. His hands were dangerously close to her legs. She kept one hand on the wall to steady her, but continued to yell at the ones who were pulling at the rope.
"Fuck off! Come on guys!" She cried, kicking around as the Walker reached his arms towards her.
As she finally felt herself get pulled higher and higher up, Emerson threw down the rope in a final attempt. Luck seemed to be on her side as the rope went around the walkers arms and waist, which would make it easier for them to pull it up. When she grabbed ahold of the pole that was lined across the well, Shane grabbed her arms and pulled her up. She began gasping for air and coughing. Andrea reached her level and asked if she was alright.
Emerson only nodded and swallowed hard as she caught her breath.
"Back to the drawing board." Dale huffed.
Glenn looked down in the well and said, "Says you. She did it."
"Damn right I did. Now let's pull this little mermaid up out of there. I'm parched."
They formed a line with Maggie's horse and began to pull the walker up. It was a plan that was surprisingly working. They got him about half way out before the damn thing got caught on the well's ledge. It seemed that luck could only help so much as the walker's bottom half was ripped off and fell into the well.
"Maybe we close off this well." Dale suggested in a light tone.
Shane sighed, "Yeah, might be a good idea."
"What do we about-" Andrea began, but was cut off by T-Dog being the one to throw his crowbar down onto the walkers brain.
