Apparently, she had no choice but to move into Kamar-Taj. And, ever since she had, Sophia stuck to her father like glue. She slept in his room, which had a second bed, and went to his training with him even though she didn't join in. Anytime she saw the Ancient One, though, she would disappear and wouldn't be seen again until the next day.

The Ancient One had noticed and, after so many attempts to communicate with Sophia, she decided enough was enough. The next day, she would speak with the woman.

The next morning, Stephen was sitting at breakfast and Sophia sat beside him. Like always, she was up before him (not that she'd ever even gone to sleep that night), but refused to leave until he did. He was rambling about how grateful he was that she had gone in the car with him. "I mean, I know about your visions so I know you just didn't want me to be alone on the worst day of my life." Again, Stephen was making it all about him. Not that Sophia could blame him. That was all he had ever done. "And I'm sure you didn't know about your powers being out so you thought you could help."

"Don't be ridiculous, Stephen," Sophia snapped. She could still be upset at him. "I didn't get in the car so we could be together. I got in the car because I knew what would happen. I wasn't optimistic or kind or helpful. I was depressed. I got in the car because I wanted to die." She stood and walked off, knowing he would not react kindly to that information.

Sophia requested to train with Mordo. She used her cane while he used the Staff of the Living Tribunal. "I see you got your relic," she commented.

Mordo blushed a little, moving his heels together. Small mandalas appeared between them.

Sophia tilted her head at them. "Two relics," she corrected. She held out her hands. "I promise not to knee you in the gut."

Mordo got into the fighting stance and Sophia obliged, matching it. He swung out with his Staff and she blocked it, swinging the end of her cane to try to hit his chest. He kicked out his leg, leaving her no choice but to block his foot with her cane rather than attack. She got the top of it free and rolled it under to jam into him. He backed up to avoid the cane and Sophia took that moment to end it. Swinging the cane over her head for momentum, she spun on her feet, bringing it down to collide with Mordo's chest. It knocked the wind from him and he fell, but Sophia had made herself dizzy and over-exerted herself. Her left leg gave out, dropping her to the cement ground.

Everyone in the courtyard swarmed her unconscious form and Mordo, but the green clad master got to her first. He lifted her bridal style, taking her toward the healers. The Ancient One stepped onto the courtyard at that moment and shooed everyone back to their training. Only Stephen remained disobedient. He was still reeling from the news he was given this morning, but he was still concerned about her wellbeing.

The Ancient One stepped up to Mordo and put her hand on Sophia's head. The girl unconsciously reacted. She let out a soft contented sigh and sought the contact out. "Bring her to my rooms," she ordered.

Mordo nodded and went to the woman's private rooms.

The Ancient One noticed the argument on Stephen's face and held out her hand. "Sophia and I have known each other for many years. We've been through more than a few tough scrapes together. I promise to return her health to her." She turned and walked from the courtyard, sensing Stephen following her.

"She can't sleep in her prosthetic," he said when she paused.

When they got to her room, they found Mordo trying to take the heavy prosthetic off the bed-ridden girl.

Stephen stepped forward and pressed a button to detach the calf part of her leg from her connector. He then pulled the upper part from her thigh, setting them on the ground beside the bed.
