John sighed in utter mental exhaustion, he can't believe he used his ability.. even if it was to save Ben he still somewhat regretted it, he could have just jumped in front of it.. no he wouldn't have made it. But getting stabbed would be way better than giving up his secret

"I'll explain when Ben gets back.."(John)
He said as he glared at the floor

"Bad news first!"(John)
"Bad news is what we're about to do is entirely illegal and possibly considered a war crime."(Ben)
"Good news?"(Sera)
"Good news is we can definitely commit a war crime, we have the resources to do it- but uh- I have more news.."(Ben)
"Good news first then."(Sera)
"I was able to complete what I needed using the tech in the van.."(Ben)
"I'm sensing a but.."(John)
"Is that your ability?"(Ben)
"Just say the bad news and stop deflecting."(John)
"..They have tech way higher than they should, what they injected me with.. they had three doses, total Ability Nullification, and the thing they used dampened your abilities-"(Ben)
"But not yours?"(Sera)
"I'm built different."(Ben)
John laughed slightly
"No I mean- literally-"(Ben)
"..huh. Why?"(John)
"That's a secret I have to keep to myself! Speaking of secrets-"(Ben)
"Alright.. I'll tell you what my ability is.. but nothing else."(John)
"That.. That's fair. I'm sure you had your own reasons to hide it."(Sera)
"I do.. well uhh- Aura Manipulation. I can copy at most 4 Abilities and Amp them up to my ability level.."(John)
"What's your level?"(Ben)
"..Uhh- I was around a 7 when I enrolled."(John)
"Excuse me?"(Sera)
"Wha-"(John)
"YOU WERE THE SAME LEVEL AS ME AND LET ME BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU?!"(Sera)
"..you need to be more specific-"(John)
"The cake incident."(Sera)
Ben wisely decided to leave the room
"Have a nice lovers quarrel.."(Ben)
He mumbled under his breath, he needed to go make a null void projector anyways.. even with Gray-Matter it would take him some time
"The- Oh! When we became friends?"(John)
"Yes. You let me beat you up for no reason!"(Sera)
"Y-You seemed like you needed it! Even if it was over chocolate cake.."(John)
"I'm going to kill you."(Sera)
"..My therapist tells me I should ask you not to?"(John)
"That's- that's progress I guess-"(Sera)
"But uh- I guess- the reason I don't use my ability anymore is-"(John)
