Two days later, Garmadon was in the bridge when the new Hypnobrai General, Mezmo, entered the room.

"Your eminence, the princess has fallen off the ship!" The snake said, "And she pulled the prince with her when he tried to prevent it!"

Garmadon's eyes immediately widened, rushing out of the room to the deck, looking overboard to see where his children had fallen -luckily the ship was floating in the water and not flying so it had not been a long drop.

He was so focused on trying to see their blonde hair in the navy waves that his guard was done, causing him to get kicked off the boat.

"What is the meaning of this?!" The Dark Lord half-growled, realizing he had been tricked

Two Hypnobrai soldiers held the twins -who had been gagged-, tossing them in the water after him.

"After yesterday, we have decided that you are too unstable to be our leader. Goodbye." Mezmo merely said, slithering away from the edge

The ship then flew away, leaving the three Garmadons floating in the Endless Sea.

The Dark Lord ungagged his children, asking if they had been hurt.

They shook their heads, confirming they were unharmed.

"Good." Garmadon said, "The Serpentine will pay for betraying us like the Skulkin. We still have each other and the Mega Weapon, we will prevail. But for now, let's go home."

"What do you  mean there is nothing we can legally do?" Jay exclaimed, staring at the police chief in shock, "He's Lord Garmadon!"

"Who just saved Ninjago." The chief replied

"He didn't save Ninjago, we did!" Kai shot back

The chief shrugged, "There's footage of him killing that damn snake."

"Yeah using our weapons, which he stole." Kai pointed out

"From all you've told me today, they aren't stolen." The cop said

Cole looked surprised, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"The First Spinwhaty Master made the weapons right?"

"Spinjitzu. And that would be correct." Zane confirmed

"And he was your teacher and Garmadon's dad?"

The ice ninja nodded, "That is also correct."

"Then they were his property to begin with, technically you were the ones that stole it."

"We didn't steal them, we got permission to take them from Sensei Wu." Cole said

"Unless you've got a copy of the First Master's will saying Wu got the weapons, then all of his property is inherited by the eldest child to disperse at will according to the law." The chief said

"I see." Zane said, "If we cannot get you to help us in that avenue, what about his recent theft at a grocery store?"

"I reviewed the footage of that, the snakes he was with stole food, but he paid for what he took after they left. The store's manager sent me a copy of the receipt and everything." The chief said, "So we'll arrest those Serpentine if we catch 'em, but Garmadon's clean."

After arriving back at the Garmadon Cottage, the Master of Destruction unlocked the door using the spare key and led his children inside, telling them to take showers to get rid of the saltwater on them while he made something for them to eat.
