hey guys this isn't an update unfortunately, but i'd really appreciate it if you read this.

okay so i added in an oc into this book (melissa) awhile ago, and i get if you don't like oc's.

but there's been people in the comments genuinely shitting on her and my writing, which can get kind of annoying tbh.

i'm not forcing y'all to like her ofc, it's an oc, but it gets annoying.

tbh melissa wasn't added in for anything except a plot device i used for y/n's character development and grieving experience for s4, and something for channeling her powers, so she wasn't added in to be an unlikable character.

i don't rlly get why some of you wouldn't like her anyway tho, there wasn't much to dislike, all there was to her was being a good friend, and being possessed and killed, which jump started y/n's s4 plot. ya she was a little boring, but that different from her being unlikable

anyways guys, i understand if you don't like her and it's fine, but y'all are going to far sometimes.

and also another thing i like to clear up is i took some byler moments and used them as y/n and mike.

i'm a byler shipper, and most of my readers are too, so i took those byler moments as romantic, and it's a MIKE X READER, so it'd be weird if mileven (except mileven i put in s2 and early s3) or byler was in there.

also sometimes i took some character moments and used them as y/n, (like will using the gun in s1) which i'm sorry if you're mad by that, but i genuinely used that so the reader can feel as an actual stranger things character other than just mikes love interest, bc that'd be really boring and just like any other typical x reader.

another thing, ive never seen people complain about this but i wanted to speak up before people did.

i put mike in the california plotline, for one, because it was hard to write mike out and into the hawkins plotline (which is a small reason.)

and two, because i wanted to show a little growth in mike and y/n's relationship. i wanted to show that they love and care for each other, even if they're probably like 1000 miles away from each other.

and mostly bc i didn't wanna stick y/n in the california plotline bc i find that one boring as shit☠️☠️
