Flowey looked around the dark room, even though he stays in the dark a lot, he never actually liked it...
No. He hated it. Even when he was alive, it always found ways to scare him. Before he met Chara, he was actually scared of finding a human under the bed.
Flowey turned to Lira. She was so peaceful when she slept. Everything about her made Flowey feel calmer... More comfortable.
...He'd never admit that to her, though. He's taking that secret to his grave— or, well... Trash? That's where dead flowers go when they die, right?
Death sounds nice.
But.. Flowey is to much of a coward to try to kill himself like he did... Or almost did when he first became a flower.
Flowey shook his head, tensing as he heard something clank against the floor. Somehow the humans didn't wake up.
Flowey looked down at the wooden floor, to see a small black box. Flowey squinted his eyes, one of his tendrils came out of his small pot, wrapping around the box.
He lifted it up from the ground, taking a closer look at it. He glanced at the sleeping Lira to his right, before opening it.
Inside was a note.
This looked like some type of box for a ring, not some note.
It fell to the flat surface of the night stand.
Everyone has fears...
It's okay to be afraid.
A.
Flowey tilted his head, who was A? Hopefully not who he thinks they are.
Lira's partner.
The idea made Flowey feel sick and a bit angry....
Flowey shook his head, carefully using his tendrils to put the piece of paper inside the box and close it, placing it back where Lira left it.
In her open backpack.
Just then, Lira started to stir.
Flowey watched as she shifted in the very comfy looking double bed.
Lira opened her eyes, tiredly staring into Flowey's.
Flowey felt heat rush to his cheeks, he wanted to look away, but he couldn't.
Lira grumbled, sitting up. Flowey watched her as she mumbled something he couldn't quite make out.
"Were you watching me sleep?" Lira asked in a hushed tone to not wake the sleeping child on the other side of the room.
"N-no." Flowey stuttered, looking away. Lira let out a shaky sigh.
She wished she could turn the damn lights on.
Flowey quickly recovered from his embarrassment, turning back to Lira. "Idiot?" Flowey asked, he decided it was a suitable nickname.
The corners of Lira's lips twitched upwards into a small smile. She saw the rude nickname his way of showing affection.
"Yeah, Flowey?"
"Who's A?"
Lira tensed up a little. "Initials." Lira answered, Flowey huffed. "I know that, but whose initials?" Flowey asked. "Someone... Who helped me a lot."
Before Flowey could be more specific, Lira asked, "Do you have any fears, Flowey?"
Flowey looked at her curiously. "No." He lied, glancing away.
The dark didn't bother him as much when there was someone with him.
Someone he trusts.
"Of course..." She rolled her eyes, standing up. "Hey. Where are you going?" Flowey asked. "Somewhere." Lira answered, Flowey huffed in annoyance.
"I know— but where?" He asked a little louder, his question went ignored as Lira went into the bathroom.
Flowey sat there, the dark has become uncomfortable again.
He wasn't alone for long, he heard a flush as Lira exited the room, laying back down on the bed.
"...Are you scared of something?" Flowey asked after a few moments of silence, she hummed. ".. The dark."
"You don't look like it."
"What do I look like then?"
The question made Flowey blush, he had a long answer for that but instead answered with, "A idiot."
There were so many words he was to embarrassed to say: Beautiful, A goddess... The list goes on..
But for his own pride, he decided to go with idiot.
"Gee, thanks." Lira said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "I still want to know who A is."
"A dead person."
Good.
Flowey feels himself relax, but still a bit tense. "Who was he to you?" Lira sighed.
"Family."
Flowey had to stop himself from sighing in relief.
Out of all the resets, he's never heard of this person, 'A'. Well it doesn't matter. Since they're just family.
"Were you jealous?" Lira asked, Flowey tensed, blushing furiously. "N-NO! Why would I?!" He whispered yelled, well, not the no.
Honestly, Lira is surprised that frisk didn't wake up. But instead of showing her surprise she let out a chuckle.
"I don't know...."
Lira then sighed, closing her eyes. "Night, Flowey." She told him, drifting into a dreamless sleep.
This time Flowey didn't respond, to embarrassed to do so.
