five - dinner guest

Kyungmi and Taeri were laying on the couch, their eyes glued to the TV screen. Taeri's hand blindly looked for the bag of chips, knocking over the bag of popcorn in the process. "Sorry," she muttered before continuing to look for her chips.

Kyungmi waved her off. "It's fine," she answered, her eyes never leaving the TV screen. The background music in the show filled the air. Taeri finally landed her hand on the bag of chips. The sound of the aluminum bag crumbling and Taeri chewing loudly on her chips annoyed Kyungmi. Kyungmi swatted at Taeri with her foot. "Yah, shut up."

Taeri looked at Kyungmi with a confused look. "I'm not saying anything."

Kyungmi rolled her eyes. "Your chewing. Shut up."

"So what? You want me to starve?" Taeri asked. Kyungmi sighed before ignoring Taeri. "Yah, I'm talking to you."

"Yeah, and I'm ignoring you," Kyungmi hissed back.

Taeri sucked her teeth loudly before shoving a handful of chips in her mouth, purposely chewing loudly to annoy Kyungmi even further. Kyungmi kicked Taeri's thigh, muttering for her to stop. "These chips are so good," Taeri said before shoving another handful in her mouth.

Kyungmi grabbed the remote before pausing the show. Taeri turned to look at Kyungmi with a teasing expression. Kyungmi dropped her head on the couch before snapping her head to look at Taeri. "Will you please stop chewing so damn loud?"

Taeri smiled at Kyungmi, "see now it wasn't so hard to ask me, now was it?"

Kyungmi's breathing grew short. Just when Kyungmi starting to tell Taeri off about being disrespectful while she was trying to watch the show, the doorbell went off followed by a knock. Kyungmi glared at Taeri, "this isn't over, Kang Taeri," Kyungmi hissed before going to open the door.

Once Kyungmi was out of sight, Taeri broke into a fit of laughter, finding it hysterical to see Kyungmi pissed off. Kyungmi opened the door revealing ENHYPEN. Kyungmi looked at them with a questioning gaze. "Can I help you all?"

Jungwon smiled before pushing past her and into the apartment. Kyungmi grabbed his hood, dragging him back out of her apartment. "Yah, Yang Jungwon. I never invited you inside."

Jungwon looked at her with a dumbfounded look. "And?"

"Who is it?" Taeri peeked out from behind Kyungmi shocked to see the entire group standing there.

Kyungmi went to shut the door on them before Jake threw his hands in the air showing the two girls the bags of food. "We have food."

Taeri and Kyungmi shared a look. "Who has bags?" Taeri asked, peeking her head out into the hallway. Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-ki raise their arms showing the bags of food. "Who can cook?" Jay raises his hand. The two girls turn to look between the other three, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon. "What can you three do?" Taeri asked.

"I'm the master at cooking ramyeon," Heeseung proudly admitted. Kyungmi nodded her head in approval before giving Heeseung a high-five.

"We're good at taking care of clean-up," Sunghoon said, tossing his arm around Jungwon's shoulders. Jungwon shrugged his shoulders, not completely agreeing with Sunghoon.

"Should I let them in, Tae-ya?" Kyungmi turned to ask. Taeri eyed the boys for a moment before nodding her head. Kyungmi and Taeri moved to the side, opening the door for the boys to walk inside. They slip out of their shoes, making their way inside the apartment. Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-ki set down the bags of food taking a moment to look around the apartment with the rest of the members.

Jake turned to the two girls. "You have a lovely apartment," he said, smiling brightly at them. They smiled back, thanking him. Once they've done their respective peeking around, they all settled down. Jay and Heeseung started preparing the food.

Kyungmi wander over to the two, peeking at what they were doing. "Do you guys need some help?" She asked.

Jay turned to look at her. He smiled, "sure we could always use some extra hands. Can you take care of the vegetables?"

Kyungmi nodded before moving around Heeseung to grab the vegetables. She started by cleaning them and then moving on the cutting them. Heeseung was in charge of making the ramyeon, while Jay took care of making everything else. "Kyungmi-ya, where is your rice cooker?" Jay asked.

Kyungmi paused cutting the vegetables, grabbing the rice cooker from the cabinet underneath her. "Here you go, Jay-ssi," she called out while handing him the rice cooker. He quickly thanked her before starting the rice.

The meal included stir-fried shrimp, gimbap, rice, ramyeon, kimchi, and gamja jorim. Kyungmi felt her mouth water at the mere sight of the food. "Wah," she breathed out.

Jay chuckled at her reaction. "You make it seem like you don't eat," he joked.

Kyungmi playfully sucked her teeth, nudging his arm before washing her hands. "Can I help you finish anything?" She asked, looking at everything. The only thing that wasn't done was the gamja jorim.

Jay looked over all the food before shaking his head. "I think I got it from here. Relax for a little bit. If I need help I'll let you know," Kyungmi looked hesitant to leave everything for Jay to do, but when he gave her a stern look, Kyungmi waddle out of the kitchen and into the family room, plopping on the end of the couch beside Jake.

After a while everyone was sitting down, five of them, Jungwon, Jake, Ni-ki, Kyungmi, and Taeri seated at the main table while the other four, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jay, and Heeseung were sitting at a foldable table that Kyungmi had. They were all joking around enjoying the meal.

After everyone was done eating, Jungwon and Sunghoon were as set on clean-up duty, which both of them protest, eventually dragging Taeri into helping them. "You all barge into our house and I have to help?" Taeri sulked as she dries the dishes that Sunghoon was washing.

"Do you think we could hang out for a bit longer?" Jake questioned as Kyungmi flipped through the TV channels.

Kyungmi paused before she turned her attention to Jake, powering the TV off. She smirked at him, "hm, do you guys like games?"
