The bright white light shone brightly, reflecting off the plain white walls. The room was silent except for a small beeping coming from the machine and Taeri's light snoring. Kyungmi squeezed her eyes shut, trying to shut out the light completely. Groaning softly, she peeled her eyes open, squinting to adjust her eyes to the light.

She wiggled her eyes around, glancing over the room. Her eyes landed on Taeri, who was fast asleep in the chair beside Kyungmi's bed. Kyungmi groaned in pain as she fully twisted her head. A hospital. Kyungmi was able to make out the room beside her vision being almost completely blurry.

Kyungmi forced herself to sit up, groaning with each movement. "Take it easy," someone said, their hands wrapped around Kyungmi's arm, helping her. She turned to look at the person, who was not noticed earlier. They noticed Kyungmi squinting, attempting to clear her vision. "It's me, Kyungmi-ssi."

Jake. Kyungmi sighed in relief. "What happened?" She asked, her voice hoarse. She grabbed her throat, the feeling finally settling in. Her throat was dry and sore. Jake turned to hand her a cup of water.

Kyungmi quickly gulped down the water. "You fainted and we didn't know what to do so we brought you to the hospital," he explained.

Nodding her head softly, Kyungmi breathed out heavily. It's been a while since Kyungmi had been in the hospital and it was bringing back unwanted memories. "Why are you here? Won't you get caught?" Kyungmi choked out.

Jake smiled at Kyungmi. Even though she was the one lying in the hospital bed she was still concerned about the boys. "Don't worry about us, Kyungmi-ssi."

Kyungmi sighed. "You know, Jake-ssi. You're older than me. So why do you keep referring to me as Kyungmi-ssi?"

Jake paused. He tilted his head. "You know, I'm not too sure about that one," he answered honestly.

Taeri groaned and shifted in the chair, wiggling to get comfortable. Kyungmi looked over at her before turning to look at Jake. "Jake-ssi. How come you're the only one here?"

"I'm not. The others went to get something to eat. I decided to stay so this way someone was here just in case you woke up."

Kyungmi nodded her head in understanding. The two allowed the silence to fall over them. Kyungmi shut her eyes before laying back down on the bed. Her head was still pounding, but she was trying to relax in hopes of easing the pain. Jake began to hum softly from beside her. He watched the way relief washed over her face as she slowly slipped back into sleep. Jake stared at her, simply admiring.

He reached over to gently brush one of her golden curls away from her face. His fingertips gazed over her cheek as he moved the curl, tucking it behind her ear. Kyungmi shifted, startling Jake. He snapped his hand back to his side. The others made their way inside the room quietly muttering to each other. Jake moved back to where he was originally sitting so that Jungwon could his seat back.

Jungwon handed Jake a container of food. "Thank you for staying with her, hyung," Jake smiled at Jungwon before taking the container out of Jungwon's hand.

Jungwon settled in the seat beside Kyungmi before opening his food container. Jake and Heeseung were seated on the other two chairs on the other side of the room while the others were scattered across the floor. They all ate their food as they chatted casually amongst themselves.

Taeri was finally awake. She eyed the seven boys with a suspicious look. "Why are you guys still here?" She asked, rubbing her eyes.

"They're enjoying their time in a hospital," Kyungmi answered sarcastically. Everyone, except Jake, rushed to huddle around Kyungmi when they realized that she was awake as well. "Let me breathe, dammits," she huffed.
