The hospital was depressing as hell. It felt dark and gloomy. Sadie sighed and looked at the IV in her arm. Claire took the news better than Sadie thought she would. Though she did end up sleeping at the hospital, so that Sadie wouldn't be alone.

Dylan never showed up to the hospital. Which confused Sadie, he seemed really determined to be there. She looked at a sleeping Claire, she was sprawled out on the sofa. Her hair was a tangled mess and her sleep shirt rumpled.

When she was fully awake she looked at the nightstand beside her bed. She reached for her phone and clicked the home button. Sadie had a ton of unread messages from Luke, she quickly unlocked her phone to see what all of the texts were about. The texts contained:

Sadie thanks for dinner.
Sadie call me!
Sadie! Dylan's in the hospital!!!!

Sadie quickly called Luke "Oh my god Luke, is Dylan ok!" She asked nervously. "Ok so when Dylan was driving me home last night a truck crashed into us, on the drivers side," Luke exclaimed. "Wait! The hospital near Oakridge?" blurted Sadie. "Yeah, you should go see him. I'm so sorry S, but I have to go," stated Luke.
After he hung up Sadie glanced at Claire. She was snoring, dead asleep. Chemo had significantly weakened her. She pushed herself up off the bed and grabbed her IV pole. She used the IV pole to support herself as she slowly made her way toward the door. Once she was in the hall she went down to the front desk and asked the nurse behind which room Dylan Archibald was in. The nurse kindly directed Sadie towards room 219b on the second floor.

Sadie opened the door to Dylan's hospital room. Luke hadn't stressed the significance of the accident. Dylan was hooked up to what seemed like a million machines. He forehead was cut and his eye purple. There was an IV in his arm that didn't have a cast. Sadie sat down next to him and waited for him to wake up.
