Gray's pov
It's a whole week since I last saw Abby, I've looked everywhere you could hide someone, I checked every abandoned buildings. Today were going to the forest part of New York, Ray got the car ready with all the weapons we may or may not need.
I can't believe it's been a whole week since she's gone, I haven't been my self lately and I know everyone around me know it too. Abby's mom called and I to keep telling her lies for the past few weeks, I know if I don't bring her back soon she'll send the police on me.
Joyce is now the one taking care of things as I'm off on a 'business trip', I was supposed to be back three days ago. "Ready mate?" Ray asked and I nod. I haven't been talking much lately and I slowly feel my self drifting back to the person I was before I met Abby.
We got in the car and set the GPS to the closest forest to here. It was about 5 miles away from here, and a 3 hour drive. The car ride was silent and no one said a word. We all knew all to well how mafia fights go, it's either killed or be killed.
Last time we were mere amateurs to shooting and other weaponry, but now, we take classes and practice on dummies and moving targets. Our trainer was a ex soldier and the training was extremely rough.
Three hours later were standing in front of a huge forest. "How did I not know about this place." Shawn said. "It's actually beautiful." Ash said. It was beautiful, too bad were not here for site seeing.
"Ok men, gear up but don't take too much things where you can't run with, the vest is in that blue bag and over there so take one and suit up. We're gonna find her Gray." Ray said. "Thank you guys for doing this for me." I told them and they nod.
We each took a vest and boot knives and two guns. We also take two spray paint to mark where we're going to not get lost. We spread out but not enough to get separated and ventured through the trees. About 4 hours later were in the middle of the forest. "God this place is huge." Aaron said.
We heard foot steps like someone was running and more behind them. We hide behind the trees and the person run past and Ash tackled the person to the ground. "Let go mi foot you peice of shit." The person yells, her voice was the only thing I needed to here to make my blood start running hot in my body.
"Abby?" I asked and she looked at me, I couldn't tell if she was surprised, confused, upset or happy to see me. "What are you doing her?" She asked looking at every one. "To rescue you." Ash said.
"Is this what you call rescuing? I'm here because of you, you, you, you, and you." She said pointing towards each of us here. I'm guessing that bastard told her. "If you would just let me explain." I told her.
"Explain? Explain? Explain to me why I had to be beaten and almost raped for the past week and a day. Explain to me why I learnt that the man I love is a murder and in mafia shit. Explain to me why you lied to me about every fucking thing that concerns your family.
Explain to me Gray, why I'm sitting here crying, when your people is chasing me with guns. Explain that." She said as tears race down to her chin, they will pay for ever laying hands on her.
I guess I'm no better, I led her on not telling her the full truth about me. I couldn't even open my mouth to say anything to her because I couldn't explain why, I can't explain why I didn't tell her, I can't explain why I made her fall for me knowing my whole life is a lie, I'm absolutely the worst person.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Mr. Fernandez. It's nice to finally meet you in person." The guy said. "You will pay." I said. "I will pay for nothing, you already did that remember." He said.
It didn't take long for his men to start shooting at us and I told Abby to hide behind the trees. We indulged them in the war they wanted and killed them, we killed everyone except their leader.
"So are going to me like you did my father?" He asked me. "I want to know why you didn't keep up with your end of the deal?" I asked him. "Why? It's simple Rafeal, your father is a heartless man. My father had to suffer to the hands of you Fernandezs. He didn't deserve to be killed by his best friend son and he didn't deserve to be betrayed by his best friend." He said.
"Your right. Your father didn't deserve all of that. But Abby didn't either, you kept her and beat her because of your anger towards me. And for that, you must die." I said and before he could react to what I was saying I shot him in his head, his eye to be exact.
"An eye for an eye mate." Raymond said. I walk over to where Abby was and she looked so vulnerable. Her knees was to her forehead and her hands over her ears as she rocks her self. "Hey." I said slowly to her. She looks up at me slowly and then back down. "Please take me home." She said and I nod even tho she can't see me.
I pick her up and she flinched at first but slightly relax. Another three hours to the car later, I sit around the back with a sleeping Abby in my arms, her jaw was swollen and her lips was cut, by the way of her breathing I could tell she has broken bones in her stomach area.
I couldn't help the tears that fell from my eyes at the condition she's in, she was dirty and smelly. I told Aaron to drive to one of his private hospital as fast as he can. I'm so sorry Abby.
