"Yo wake up!" Yelled someone. "Abby get up nuh! Mommy seh a time fi uh get ready fi gaah school." Said the voice of my annoying sister. "Manda gwaan nuh man an leff mi alone! Cho man! People cyaa even get likkle sleep." I mumbled.
"Bredda git up before mommy come up yah." Manda said and left. "Cho mmmmmaaaannnn. Friday hurry up and come."I said to my self. 5:30 every morning I have to get up and get ready for school. I said my prayer and look for my under garments and polish my shoes. Soon I had my shower after I comb my hair. Oh yes introduction time.
I'm an Jamaican girl living in Jamaica, St. Ann to be exact, I love my country but you know me being a little school girl have to be careful.
Anyways, I put on my uniform and head down stairs. "Morning mommy and daddy." I greet my parents. "Morning, a wah suh mek you down yah suh suh e?. My father Keith asked.
"Nuh Manda wake me up early." I answer and my mother Dean hiss her teeth. "Manda eva late. Mi wake har extra early and all now she nuh reach dun yet." She said shaking her head.
"Morning." My elder brother Pete said. "Morning bro." I said. "Yuh early dis mawnig mn." He said and I laugh. "Nuh look bout nth mam?" Asked my other older brother Rayan.
"Look over there on the table." Answered mommy. "Hello peeps." My older sister Meila greeted. "Waam." I answers and she shakes her head nothing. "Top ah di mawnig."
My other sister who's older Meisha greeted and we greeted back. By now I'm finish eating my fry dumpling, egg and franks.
The eldest child Pete who's 22 left to work, he's a manager at NCB which stands for National Commercial Bank, Meila and Miesha are twin and they are 19 and currently attending at Browns Town College, which they left with daddy who's an instructor there.
Manda and I are also twin we are 15 and in grade 9 at ochi high and mommy who's the principal there bring us to school. And Rayan who's now 20 works at a hotel. Twenty minutes later we're at school.
"Yo Mussy! Cum yah gyal mi ave tory fi tell yuh!" My sister's best friend Keke yelled to her. "A lie! Tell mi deh!" Manda said.
"Den yo nu-” I didn't finish hearing as I walked away. "Ppssstttt. Mummmmaaa." I heard someone said. "Weh the roach deh?" I asked only to see it was Lorenzo when I turn around.
"Kool nuh man Abby. Naah mek mi get yuh numba?" He asked me. "Bredda mi dun tell uh no. Uh see mi a school every day already.
" I told him. "Abby mi hardly see uh. Different grade memba." I said. "Dats why uh fi find a gyal in a uh grade n leff mi alone. Mi nuh waah nuh baddy." I said and walk away.
Lorenzo is in grade 11 and the deputy head boy of our school, him and his eleven grade friends are always on the grade nine block looking giddy head girls.
"Morning." I greeted my class mate and they answered. "Waam Shay?" I asked my best friend Shay. "Girl mi deh yah eno. You a come a fun day next month?" She question. "Yes ggurrll. But mi nuh buy mi clothes yet." I told her.
"Mi either." "Abby, Shay Shay." Shay boyfriend Xavier said. "A mi late are a you early?" Shay asked him. "Suh mi cyaa early fi one time b?" He asked. "Mi nuh seh no." She answered.
Shay and Xavier has been dating since grade seven but the three of us used to go to primary school together so we know each other long time. "Suh Abby uh nuh find man yet?" He asked me. "Mi naah look." I answered. "Uh know seh Manda ave man nuh true?" He inquired.
"Suh true she have dat mean seh mi muss ave to?" I question and he nod. "Mi is quite fine." I said and before he could say anything else the bell rings. "Laad god a devotion time already." Shay said and we laughed.
Our teacher Ms. Smith came and mark the register and we line up to devotion. 40 minutes later we are now in class doing maths.
It was now 11:30am and time for lunch. "Abby. Beg uh bills nuh?" My sister asked. "Mussy mi and u get the same amount a money eno. E mn." I said as I gave her the money.
"Thanks sissy." She said and we join the lunch line. "Abigail!" Shay scream. "Shayon!" I yelled back. "Girl uh suh short mi cyaa find uh." She said as she joined me in the line. A girl behind us started mumbling about cutting.
"A wah uh problem?" Shay asked and the girl said nothing. Couple minutes later we ordered our box lunch and splash and head to my class. "Mussy a weh uh man deh?" Keke asked.
"Him mussa a buy lunch." She answered. "Abby mi sis! Waam b." No other than Alex said who is Mussy aka Manda's boyfriend. "Uh go live long eno bwoy." I said.
The two has been dating from grade eight. "Suh Abby mi fren did a ask uh fi uh number. Wah uh seh uh a buss him?" He asked as he swing his arm over Mussy.
"No, the only bus him would n get from mi is the one wah drive." I said causing my friends to laugh. "I hear uh sis. Suh b why uh neva call mi last night?" He asked his girl.
"B uh seh uh go call mi and mi drop asleep." She answered. "Uh lucky seh uh cute eno b." He said kissing her forehead. They are so cute together.
"Twiny wahm?" Asked Sara, Shay younger sister. "Den Sara tuh how long uh know we uh nuh know we different yet?" Mussy asked and she shrugged.
Sara is a year younger than us. We all gather around our desk and put them together in a circle and sit, eat and talk. "Abby uh did watch the tiktok mi sen uh?" Xavier asked as he sit beside Shay. "Yes but di man a real clown." I said.
"Man if mi a did r man mi would n mash up di phone." He said. "A who uno a talk bout?" Shay ask. "The video wah mi send uh b, with the oman a twerk pan a next man in front a r man." He said. "A di man a clown fi real." She said. Time went by and it's now time for class again. We went our different ways.
Three hours later school over and the group link up at the bio lab which was our last class. "Mussy uh a guh in town or uh a guh with uh madda?" Keke ask. "Girl today a Wednesday and a next month a fair day, of course mi a come." She said. "Yaah come to Abby?" Shay ask me. "Yea, did already tell mummy." I said and we head to the front of the school waiting for Mussy who left to go use the bathroom.
