Grabbing the lamp hastily she threw it at the door. The room filled with darkness as the light shattered. Spraying its sparks across the room to light parts of it up briefly. The embers soon dying leaving Rose to be faced with nothing but blackness. She sighed, wanting to cry again from the desolate situation.
It was all going horribly wrong.
Rose began unawarely drifting off to sleep, her head slipping off her hand slightly as it went. The first moment of peace she had from her mind playing over scenarios of what could go wrong from here.
"AAAAHHHH!" Rose jumped, her eyes fully opening.
"PLLLEEEAAASE STOP! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME ANYMORE!!" The unrestrained sobs brought Rose out from her blissful trance.
Her heart raced recognising the voice.
"Lily." She whispered more broken than she ever been.
He was punishing Lily.
The screams stopped.
Dead silence following.
Rose held her breath bending down to put her hands onto the floor, she crawled feeling for the door nearly falling over the bed leg in the process. She pressed her ear up against the crevice.
She still couldn't hear a peep coming from outside.
Rose remained there counting the minutes. She knew it was useless, but it was giving her something to think about. A much-welcomed distraction.
"Is that enough to know who it is. Rest assured, no more suffering can come to them anymore. Well, at least not their soul anyway." Knox sneered down from the hole at her.
Rose hadn't noticed this time that it had even been opened. She wondered how long he had been standing there for before saying a word. Looking up, Rose didn't see any light coming from the door as she expected to see. He must've already shut it back up.
"Mm." The hushed whimper stunned Rose, her eyes growing wide.
She glanced around, even with knowing it would be too dark to tell if someone as in the room with her. It took another couple of seconds before she realised the noise had come from her. Her brain gradually unfreezing from the shock of the events. An onslaught of dizziness blind sighted her as she finally let out the breath, she had forgotten she was holding in.
Rose curled up into a ball as tight as she could. No longer feeling safe. No longer able to feel anything bar numbness. The only thing she was sure of, was finding a way to get her and John out.
Rose dragged her body into a sitting position gradually. The aches and pains becoming abundantly clearer as she moved. Sleeping on a hard metal floor was never a good idea. Her eyes were half glued shut with last night tears, her head beginning to pound from losing so much fluid.
Rose gathered that they couldn't be too far off getting to his planet. They had roughly been trapped in the rooms for a couple of days she judged from her sleeping habits. She rubbed her legs not understanding at first why they felt gooey until her fingers grazed over metal. He had dumped a tray of food onto her still body.
"Great." She huffed sarcastically.
Rose wished that she hadn't broken the light and that she had her back where clean clothes lay. The irony wasn't lost on her.
A switch clicked in her head. A new plan formulating quickly.
"Well, I am the leader, it might be a hasty plan, but it just might be crazy enough to work.." Rose began babbling.
