I landed after the extremely long flight. I was hoping for a nicer transition into my new chapter of life; however, I'm not surprised that it turned out this way. It was difficult to settle in, especially since I didn't know anyone. Later that week I got a call from Molly.

"Hey what happened with you and Daniel. He legit fell off the face of the earth. He isn't answering anyone's calls and we can't find him anywhere." I could hear in her voice that this was awful. I mean it is if they can't find him. But why the heck has he disappeared; I don't think our conversation went that bad. It wasn't good, but it shouldn't have ended like this. "Are you sure he isn't just in his studio?" That's where he usually hides. "No, we checked everywhere. "Well, I'm sorry Molly, but I can't really help that much. I'm in a different country." As much as I would like to, I can't. "Really, you leave and suddenly don't care anymore?" I don't really want to deal with this, but I want to know if he is okay. "I can try calling him, but he is definitely not going to pick up." I believe I am the last person he wants to talk to right now.

I try calling him, but no luck, so I leave a voicemail.

Hey, its me. I know you don't really want to talk to me right now. And I know you won't call me back, but please let Molly and Christian know that you are okay. I really hope you're okay. Anyways, I'm sorry. Please just come back to them. Please."

I whispered the last word, for some reason I just couldn't say it. It felt painful. I moved on with my day, he didn't leave my thoughts until I got a text from Christian saying he is okay and back home. I was happy to know that and weirdly I stopped thinking about him. What he was doing or who was he with. I found friends here and for some time forgot about the ones back home. I still talked with Molly from time to time. They were trying for a baby – so basically fucking a lot. My life was taking drastic turns that kept me further from New York and I started to miss it.
