Graduation happened about a week ago and it wasn't anything special. I just got my diploma and afterwards had a pizza party with my family.

But for the past year Molly and I had been planning a trip to Italy, which I'm leaving for tonight. I have been packing for two days trying not to forget anything. But I probably will still forget something.

Since I was leaving in 30 minutes, I got ready and put on my airport outfit:

1 am that night

I didn't want to leave my car at the airport, so I just asked my mom to drive me. We got into the car, and I put on some music.

"So, are you excited?" my mom asked.

"I can't wait to get there. Molly and I have been talking about it for so long it's like we know what's going to happen every second were there."

"You know you can't know what will happen, maybe your plans are going to completely change" my mom tells me.

"I don't think so. We have a lot of things to do and there's no way we would change anything" I explain.

"Well, you never know, maybe you'll meet some people, you know boys" she says winking. Why oh why does she always do that. "You know after being on this planet for 18 years you should have had at least one boyfriend."

"Mom for the last time I'm not the girl guys look at ant think - yeah, I would like to hang out with her. I've always been the one who does someone's homework or projects. No guy actually wants to get to know me, because look at me. And who cares I don't even want a boyfriend I have to focus on college."

"Okay stop with that. Look, Italy is the perfect opportunity to do something you usually wouldn't do. What's the worst that could happen?"

"True, I don't know, I'll see, maybe I will try something new."

After an hour drive, we arrived at the airport, and I met up with Molly. My mom gave us a little be safe don't do drugs and have fun speech and after saying goodbye we left to check in our bags. Our flight was at 3 am so we went straight to the gate, because they were already letting people in, we took our seats they were only one space apart so we thought we would just ask the person if they could move to the side, and we could sit together.

However, I hadn't slept in at least 26 hours, so I just passed out and didn't know how the situation with the seating played out. So, after like 4 hours I woke up on somebodies' shoulder, I just assumed that Molly got the seat and that's who it was. But when I picked my head up, I saw the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen.

"Hi, you have been out for a while." He jokingly said.

"I'm so sorry I drooled all over your hoodie. Wait I'll get napkins." I start looking for a tissue in my backpack and panicking. God why do I always have to embarrass myself.

"Oh, you don't have to do that it's all good." He interrupted my search party.

"Again, I'm so so sorry I thought you were my best friend" I say while laughing.

"Well, I don't know if I'm your best friend, but maybe I could be? I'm Daniel by the way."

"Oh my god where are my manners my name is Kiara. Nice to meet you, Daniel?" why am I so awkward. I can't stop looking in his eyes. Usually, I'm more attracted to brown eyes, but whoa. Those are like the most beautiful ocean I have ever seen. After I realized that I had been staring at his eyes for 5 minutes I decided to say something. "So how long will you be in Italy?"

"I don't know, me and my brother bought one-way tickets, so we'll see. You?"

"Well, my best friend and I, the one sleeping next to you are staying for 3 weeks. It's sort of my celebration for finally ending the four years of torture called high school." Why are my cheeks heating up, it's freezing on the plane.

"Oh, that's cool maybe we could hang out for a day or two?" he asked and was waiting for my answer, but I got lost in my thoughts. A guy like him has never talked to me for this long and the fact that he's asking to hang out is even crazier.

"Oh sorry, um sure I mean I should ask Molly first, but I think she'll say yes." I shoot up quickly answering.

"First of all, stop apologizing and second Molly?" he asks pointing to the sleeping beauty. I nod.

After that conversation I went back to sleep because there was still 6 and a half hours left.
