Chapter 10

Our alarms, yes alarms there were multiple, went off at 5:30 am. We decided to travel by train because it was the cheapest, so we had to make the 7 am train which meant we had an hour to get ready and finish packing. We stayed on our phones until the alarm went off again, we knew this would happen, so we set an alarm reminding us every 15 minutes to hurry up.

We had all our stuff and triple checked the hotel room for anything we may have missed. When we were sure everything was there, I locked the door, and we headed downstairs to the lobby. After checking out we caught a cab, put our suitcases in the trunk and Molly and I got settled in the back. The drive was short, and we arrived at the train station at 6:40, since we had bought our tickets the night before we just went straight to our train and found comfortable seats.

Right then the train started moving. After a few minutes a lady came to check if we had tickets, so we showed them and went back to our conversation. "So, you and Daniel." Molly looks at me smirking. "Daniel and I what?" I ask, not really wanting to answer. "Is there any spark? Because he seems into you, but you keep treating him like a friend and nothing else." She confronts me. "I don't know. I really like hanging out with him, but Molly we met like 4 days ago and let's not forget the fact that most teen girls are in love with that boy. I just wanna take things slow and see what happens." I explain. "Yeah, we definitely want to stay out of the drama tabloids." For the rest of the trip, we just laid back and enjoyed the view outside.

We finally reached Milan. It was as beautiful as Rome. Since we didn't want to walk around with all our luggage, the first stop was our hotel for the next 5 days. We got there surprisingly pretty quickly and got checked in and all that stuff.

Today was the day we wanted to go shop in all the stores. When packing I left one side of the suitcase empty for souvenirs and clothing pieces I wanted to buy. And today was the day I filled most of it up. So, we took our reusable bags and headed into town. We went into almost every store, but since we're really picky and also didn't have the biggest budget in the world we didn't buy too much, just a few clothing pieces, some souvenirs and we decided that any food we wanted to bring back home we'll buy when we leave. This walking around took all day so instead of having dinner at a restaurant we decide to just order room service when we got home.

We ended up at home at around 11 pm, put all of our bags in one corner and got changed into sweats. The food we ordered came, we devoured it so fast like we never had before and got ready for bed. The whole day I hadn't really looked at my phone, so this was the first time checking it. Shit. I totally forgot to text Daniel. I open my phone and see 24 missed messages and 6 missed calls from Daniel.

Hey just checking in, did you get settled alright
Just text me if you're okay
I'm getting a little concerned
Are you alright, I'm worried
If you don't want to talk just say it and I'll stop
Okay now I'm really worried, why are neither of you answering your calls
We're coming over, be there in an hour
What hotel are you staying at?
Kiara please answer your phone
We'll be there 10 minutes

And it went on like that for another 14 messages, so instead of reading all of them I just called him. He instantly picked up "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Are you okay, we're at your hotel lobby. Where are you?" He just started, and it felt like he wasn't going to stop. "Hey, hey, hey just calm down. We're alive and coming downstairs. Be there in 2 minutes tops." We ran downstairs as fast as possible. "How did we not see or hear any of the calls? We really need to turn the sound up on our phones." We were out of breath.

We were finally down in the lobby and when our eyes met trust me when I say I have never seen someone run so fast. Christian tackled Molly instantly and Daniel wrapped his arms around me so tight that I could barely breathe and rested his head on mine. The four of us just stood there like that for a good 5 minutes. "You see in order for me to stay alive I have to breathe, so could you just lighten your grip a bit?" I ask Daniel. "I thought someone killed you or you got kidnapped by a serial killer or something. Please don't do that ever again." He looked at me with those beautiful eyes and his face was so close to mine. "I promise to never ever forget to text you that I am alive." I say with a little bit of a laugh. "This is not a joke I was really scared. I thought something bad had happened." He looks me straight into my eyes, why are we so close? "I'm sorry, really. So, you have anywhere to stay?" I ask. "Can we stay at your place, just until tomorrow?" How was I supposed to say no to that? "Of course, you can."

Daniel was insistent on not letting me out of his sight again so that meant he would be sleeping in my bed tonight. Now you see I have never slept in the same bed as a guy, especially a guy I liked before, so this was a little nerve wracking for me. Molly and I had already gotten dressed for bed, so the guys got ready, and I was so tired that my eyes were just shutting by themselves. But before I fell asleep, I felt Daniels arms wrap around my waist and his nose touch my neck. I now understood what Molly was talking about. This felt like the most comfortable place in the world.
