Prologue

Like most people in the world, I Kiara Alexander don't have a particularly interesting life. Since first grade I've been an exemplary student, haven't really done a lot of terrible things (maybe a few) and I haven't been super popular. I don't have family issues, I love my mom and dad, well my brother sometimes, when he doesn't piss me of. However, what I thought would be the worst four years of my life turned out to be not so bad. When I started, I only had one other friend from my old school, and we weren't that close so I knew I would get through it but barely. But to my surprise in ninth grade, I found my best friend Molly Nelson. Out of nowhere this amazing human being appeared in my life. It wasn't instant, even though neither of us even remember how we started talking, but by summer I had the most incredible friend you could ask for. That's when I started to come out of my shell. I started going out with my friends more and building better relationships with everyone I cared about. I thought I finally found my grove, but that was just the high. I soon came back down to earth and after getting into some drama found who my true friends are, I finally realized the meaning of having actual friends not just people you know.

Now I'm 18, this year I finally finish high school. I can't believe it, I thought I'd never escape this hellhole. But now it's time for college applications and trying to find apartments. I have my eye on a couple of schools however the one I really want to get into is UofT. It has been my dream school since the start of high school. But I also applied to UCLA and a couple other state schools. But for now, I need to finish high school and have the best summer of all time.
