It's been two years since Arion was locked up. He ended up getting an extra six months because of the frequent fights he was getting into. When I found out he got extra time, I wanted to beat the shit out of him. For real.

His being locked up broke me and I ended up falling into a deep depression.
Surprisingly, I wasn't the only one affected by Arion getting locked up. My mom's numbness soon turned into anger and unfortunately I was the only person for her to take her frustrations out on.

About a week after Arion's sentencing, my mom and I got into an argument that turned physical and she kicked me out of the house. I ended up staying with my best friend Shanice with her family in Courtlandt for a few weeks to finish out the school year.

While staying with Shani I was able to get in contact with my Aunt Alicia, my mother's sister, through social media. I lost contact with her when she moved to LA when I was about nine years old. My mother and my aunt never really saw eye-to-eye and eventually let their relationship fade.

My aunt wasted no time taking me in despite her strained relationship with my mom. She provided me with all the love and support I need, never once judging me. She helped me get legally emancipated from my mother, enrolled me in a private school, and even put me in therapy.

She's the stereotypical bougie, rich aunt with no kids. Since she has no kids, she spoiled the fuck out of me. She bought me designer clothes, bought me a car for my sixteenth birthday, took me around the world on trips with her, etc. She's able to fund her lavish lifestyle with her career in finance.

My aunt taught me everything I know about investing and trading stocks. I was able to build a very impressive stock portfolio and acquired a very large amount of money. I've made enough money to the point that I've opted out of going to college following my high school graduation last week, in which I graduated a year early.

I love my aunt so much and I'm so grateful for everything she's done for me. My phone chimes twice and I look down at the phone seeing that I've just received two messages from my aunt.

Arion gets out of jail in about a week so, I'm moving back to the Bronx. I tried everything I could to convince Dougie to move out to LA. But, he wasn't having it so I caved and started looking for places in New York. Thirdside, Sevside, and Reyway were basically my options since he has opps literally everywhere else. I ended up finding a two-bedroom on Sevside, the block adjacent to where Arion and I grew up on Thirdside.
