"Okay Bree I need to take a break," I said as I bent over with my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath. I gotta start working out.

"Okay!" she said as she skipped over to the rest of the kids that were playing on the playground.

I walked over to Kay, Shani, Nas, Setty, his baby, and Cblu, who had joined us on our day out at the park. They were sitting on top of a table, chilling in the shade.

I tried getting Dougie to come outside with us but he vehemently refused. He's still pretty emotional—rightfully so. He's going through a lot right now.

Everyone laughed as I approached them, limping from when I had tripped and fallen a couple of minutes ago while playing tag. I flipped them off as I sat down next to Kay and grabbed a water bottle from my bag.

I opened my water bottle and started drinking from it. I put it down and wiped the beads of sweat from my forehead. I smiled slightly when I saw Kay staring me down out of the corner of my eye. "Stop," I whispered to him.

"What am I doing?" He asked lowly as he continued staring at me.

"That," I referred to his staring, gesturing towards his face.

"Yo. How do we tell them KayKay?" I asked him at a hushed volume, not wanting anyone to overhear our conversation.

I don't know why but I'm kinda nervous to tell everyone that we're dating. But I'm also ready to get it over with.

"What you mean? You just open your mouth and speak. It's not hard," he said in a "duh" kind of tone.

"How though?" I asked, struggling to find the words to say.

"Like this. Yo!" He called out to everyone. "Nini's my girl y'all," Kay told the group before pecking my lips.

I blushed at the unexpected public display of affection and looked back at our friends that were watching us with bored, blank faces.

Camrin was the only one who spoke. "Okay? You ain't gotta rub it in nigga," he spoke with his face scrunched up.

"Y'all not surprised?" I asked them.

"About what? You pregnant or something?" Nas asked making me scrunch up my face in confusion.

"What the fuck, Nas? Hell no," I replied quickly shutting down his stupid ass question.

"My fault. I was just asking," he said as he raised his hands in surrender.

"So?... Is there something else you trying to tell us?" Shani asked and I shook my head 'no'.

"I was just telling y'all that we're dating...Really? No one's like shocked or surprised?" I asked

"Not even a little bit. Anybody with eyes could've seen it coming. Even Kenzo. Right son?" Setty said as he changed his baby's diaper at the table next to ours.

"You could've told me the sky was blue and I would've been more surprised at that than hearing that you're dating this nigga," Cblu expressed.

"I'm honestly just surprised it took this long...Congrats though," Nas said and I thanked him.

"Yeah, I'm not surprised either. I was just hoping you wouldn't fall into his trap," Shani added. Then, she looked between me and Kay and gasped loudly. "Bitch don't kiss me ever again. You really put your lips on mine knowing you be putting 'em on this dirty ass nigga? ...I'm gonna throw up," she fake gagged.

"Shani suck my dick. You not allowed to kiss her no more anyway," Kay spoke. "I'll let any other girl kiss her. But you? Hell no! You suck way too much—"
