We had a great time last night. We had a little movie night, ordered food, and stayed up late as hell. We just got up and it's damn near three o'clock in the afternoon.

"Bye Moni. I'll see you tonight," Shani said whilewalking out the front door. We're all supposed to be going to a kickback in Courtlandt later on.

"Aight. Bye Shani," I said, closing and locking the door.

"Finally her annoying ass is gone," Kay said from the couch he was laying on. They bickered back and forth all last night until we fell asleep and picked up right where they left off when we woke up.

"Kay, stop it. Why y'all don't get along anymore?" I asked, standing in front of him making him sit up.

"Cus she always wants y'all to do some stupid shit together. And she mad delusional. She knows I'm your best friend but stay calling you bestie and shit," Kay ranted while looking up at me.

"Kay y'all are both my best friends. So stop being like that. Y'all just going to have to remember how to share and get along. Okay?" I laughed, talking to him like he was a little kid.

He shook his head 'no' and wrapped his arms around the back of my legs pulling me closer. He rested his head on my stomach and said, "No, you're mine. I knew you from when we were five years old muddy. We really locked in for real. Y'all not. You met that bitch when we were ten."

I smacked him upside his head and said, "Watch your mouth, Kay."

"Nah cus she really be blowing mines. Word to my mother," Kay said after sucking his teeth.

"Kay it's not that serious I promise you. Hm. Let me sit down," I said to him. He let go of my legs and I sat down next to him.

"It is that serious. You can't have two best friends Moni," he said, stretching out on the couch and laying his head on my lap.

"Why not? You have two best friends. Me and Dougie."

"That's mad ayo. He's not my best friend that's my brother," he said with a matter-of-fact tone, making me roll my eyes.

"That's not even ayo," I replied, looking at his messy hair.

"And why your hair not done? You out here looking crazy," I said playing with his braids.

"What you mean? You wasn't fucking with me for twelve days the fuck?" he rolled his eyes.

"Nigga you could've had any one of your little girlfriends do it for you."

"Nah. I wanted you to do it. I'm loyal unlike you," he said making me laugh.

"Since when? You be doing these girls wrong," I said.

"Cus I don't give a fuck about those bitches. Worda bro," he mumbled with his eyes closed.

"That's a damn shame," I shook my head.

Dougie came into the living room and asked, "Y'all ready to go?"

"Nigga we been ready," Kay said while getting up from the couch.

We walked over to Kay's building and waited for the elevator. The elevator dinged and the doors opened. I stood in the middle of Kay and Dougie as the elevator went up. My hand brushed against Kay's a couple of times making me feel a little funny.

The doors to the elevator opened and we walked down the hall. Kay opened the door and walks in with me and Dougie behind him.

"Ma!" Kay yelled as we stood in the living room.
