I opened my eyes as my alarm went off. I got out of my bed and started getting ready for the party.

It didn't take long for us to go back to being three peas in a pod. Earlier, I braided both of their hair. Then, we went shopping all over the city to get Dougie a phone, hella clothes and shoes, and a bunch of other stuff. I got tired and came back home to take a nap, while Kay and Dougie left to go somewhere else.

I turned on Brent Faiyaz's Fuck the World ep before getting in the shower. After I got out of the shower, I put on some lotion, put my makeup on, did my hair, and put on my outfit. In total, it probably took about an hour and a half.

I ordered an Uber to take me to the address that Kay had sent me earlier. I pulled out my phone texting Shani while I waited.

My Uber arrived a couple of minutes later and I went downstairs to get in the car. We started driving toward our destination. After about twenty minutes, the car stopped and I got out after thanking the driver. I texted Shani to let her know that I was outside.

I waited for a few minutes for her to respond, but she never did. I guess I'll have to go in and look for her. I walked up the stairs and through the door. When I got inside, I saw what seemed like a thousand people. I knew Dougie was pretty popular but damn.

I looked around recognizing some Ogz from Courtlandt, the DOA members, some Trendys, some MBs, and a few crips from the Rey. Some were participating in dice games, some were dancing, and some were just standing around talking and drinking.

"Yo Nini!" a voice called out to me. It was Qwayshawn, also known as B-Lovee. He's another person I'd grown up always seeing because he grew up on the Sev and in Courtlandt. He's also one of my brother's close friends.

"Hi," I spoke, hugging him when he stopped in front of me.

"You need some of this?" he asked, lifting the Hennessy bottle that was in his hand.

"Nah, I'm good. But have you seen Shani? She's not replying to my messages."

"Yeah. She back there," he replied, gesturing to the direction he'd just come from.

"Aight."

I started pushing past people. I finally made it through after being stopped a few times by people who remembered me and wanted to say hi.

"There she is," I said to myself, finally seeing her.

I spotted her in the middle of a crowd sipping out of a red solo cup looking in front of her. I walked up next to her. "What the fuck Shani? You ain't see my text?" I asked startling her.
