She was ready for tomorrow. She went down for lunch. She was in her own thoughts. Thallan wondered what changed.

Thallan said, "Sar, what's changed?" Sarah told him about the remote hearing ring and that a man was angry about her rejection of his proposal and that he had sent out people to search for her. She said she was going to have to be extra careful.

Thallan said, "I'm sorry to hear that. You need to be with someone who loves you for the kind woman you are."

Sarah had tears in her eyes and said, "I know. But reality is not like that. He is powerful and I didn't think he hated me so much after eleven years had passed. Somehow he must have made a connection to me being in the Pixie Kingdom from the contest. Now I can't visit the Prince of the Elven Kingdom. It's too risky. The man after me is a royal and I'm scared he may try to hurt me if he trapped me somehow."

Thallan said, "Skip the Elven Kingdom and go to the Fairy Kingdom instead then go to the Unicorn Kingdom. On the mountain town of Golauseren (starlight) there is a pass that goes northeast. It will be a shorter distance to the Fairy Kingdom and cutting through a narrow part of the Elven Kingdom just above The Outland. You will camp for three days to get to the Fairy Kingdom. I can give you directions to the towns and cities to go through the Fairy Kingdom, so you're safe." Sarah stood up and came around the counter and hugged Thallan.

She said, "That's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you, Thallan." He hugged her back.

He said, "That's what good people do for one another right?"

She nodded and said, "Right." She sat back down and ate the rest of her lunch feeling better. It will keep Jareth busy in two kingdoms she won't be in.

Sarah took Laney up to her room and showed her Azure. She cooed, played and cuddled him. She had pastry and cookies and Sarah made her giggle and laugh. The little girl was as sweet as could be.

Once she trusted Sarah, Laney said, "I used to be at home with my father and mother. My father used to beat us and said that women were worthless and nothing but burdens. He killed my mother one night with a fireplace poker because he didn't like what she cooked. He started hitting me and our screams got the neighbors to get Thallan. Thallan took me away from there about a year ago. He beat my father badly and helped me grab all the belongings of my mother and mine and all the money in the house. I knew where he hid it all. We traveled for a long time and settled here. I have sad spells from time to time, because I miss my mother, but Thallan makes me happy again."

Sarah gathered the child in her arms and kissed the little girl's head. She said out loud, "I 'wish' all the love, happiness and prosperity for you and Thallan for the rest of your lives." The magic swirled and made it so. Neither of them would know but she won't have to worry about them at all.

Later that night sitting in her room, she pulled 200 gold out of her necklace and put it in one of her empty bags. She was giving it to Thallan and Laney to help them with the inn.

Day 30

Sarah woke up and did her morning routine getting ready to go. She had a medium bag half full of gold. Thallan gave Sarah full directions from the mountain through the Elven Kingdom and completely through the Fairy Kingdom the night before, all written down. Sarah put it in her saddlebag inside one of her books. She was dressed with full weapons on and her kitten in his pouch, cloak and gloves on. She left her bow and arrow set and her baggage and the bag of gold. In the room. She went down for breakfast.
