Sarah got up and walked around looking at other vendors. She asked a few about what kind of magical jewelry they might have but nothing compared to her own. She got a couple wooden carved sticks that were delicately made and would be perfect hair sticks to hold her hair as she bathed. She found a few leather bags she could use but decided to take everything back to the inn. She was about to go into the inn and two fae guards approached her.

One menacingly said, "Come with us."

Sarah said, "Can't I drop off my things first?"

The other said, "No! The king wants to see you in his carriage now!"

Sarah said while she walked with them, "You know you could treat me better than this. I've done nothing wrong."

The first guard nastily said, "The king will be the judge of that. Be silent, human!"

Sarah said, "Oh, but you forgot that filthy human animal is how you say it normally, right?" The fae guard looked at her funny.

He said puzzled, "Why aren't you afraid?"

Sarah said, "Probably, because all I did today was save a little fae princess from being raped in a dirty alley by a couple filthy fae animals instead. I did nothing wrong." They walked up to a carriage. The guards opened the door. She thought, 'I guess I'm supposed to get in without a hand. With no help. Assholes.'

Sarah hiked her dress and stepped up inside and sat on a seat inside holding her bag of stuff from the festival in front of her next to the huge soldier taking up the room. She sat next to a guard which cramped her up. Across from her was the King and the Queen.

The King said, "I hear from my daughter that you were at the festival?"

Sarah said, "Yes, your majesty."

He said, "You have saved her life?"

Sarah said, "I suppose I did. I was there at the right place and time."

He said, "Yes, but you killed a fae in the process."

Sarah said, "I did. He had his …. thingy out ready to hurt a little girl. I think that is a barbaric and vulgar act to commit on an innocent child most of all. I slit his throat from behind. I punched the other in the face. He let go of the child and I jumped up and kicked him in the head with my boot heel."

He said, "The other is dead now I sent my guard in that alley to end him for attacking a royal member."

Sarah said, "So we agree on the act the two committed was capital punishment?"

The King laughed and said, "Supposed the way justified the means. I am King Elwin and this is Queen Leena. What is your name?"

Sarah said, "My name is Ashar, but I go by Ash."

The Queen asked, "Why did you not take the reward my son offered you?"

Sarah said, "Because as I told him, I did not do anything for profit. I did what I did, because it was the right thing to do. Nothing more. I was trained professionally to fight. I could never allow that kind of thing to be done to anyone, but most of all anyone's child. Your daughter is a sweet child. She has a pretty smile." Azure cried out and jumped up, poking his head up out of the pouch. Sarah looked down at him looking at her with his incredible amber eyes and rubbed his head.
